I haven't seen an Chernarus with Zombies as of yet, so i took some time to mod the Wasteland + DZS mod into the Chernarus map.
Zombie spawn works, vehicles, loot in vehicles, weapon caches random spawn around the map
and the map itself.
Everything i tried so far is working correctly for playing, no bugs so far.

I might upload it here if the interest is big enough and i take no absolute credits for this little mod, i've included a credits.txt and an install_guide.txt and made it as easy as possible to install and play.

Just leave a comment and i'll check back later after a few hours sleep, since it's 4.40 am and been trying to get this work for a few hours.

Have a good day

Yeah im kind of new too, but i've been scripting different stuff so im kind of a fast learner.
Anyway the only thing i did was i took the script files that were already there and simply modified them, my advice is that you take an script file from a map that is alread compiled.
Look closely on all rows with text and what it says it do, and try to modify them first since it will be hard to make everything from scratch, you only need to change what types of items should spawn on your map/mod and where all spawn points can be since it will be different coordinates if you make your own map.

Just send me a pm if you want me to look on something for you, i will gladly help if i can, but as i said im no pro at this :P

did you get permission to do so from the author, i'd highly recommend it if you didnt, or else a mod will lock the thread

Dude just leave it, i clearly stated i don't take any credits for doing this one except for actually getting the map to run with zombies, and secondly when opening up Waste + DZS it says in the readme file, if anyone decides to mod this don't change the version 1.25 and something more.

So...yeah i know how to read if i can get permission or not, simply just making a fact that i got the zombies to work, giving credits to the actual makes of the Wasteland and DZS team and thanking them for making it possible to implement their mods for Chernarus, which probably everone wants since they played it on DayZ in ArmA 2.

And more regarding permission, did you know that one or more of the script files they are using are actually from the original Chernarus map, it has a few lines from Chernarus and that the scripts are only to be used with normal ArmA 2 and not even DayZ ?

Basically what i did was borrowing something already borrowed which is free, except for im not taking any credits for it that they do, and i give them credits for this work too and i simply stated i simply modified it to work with chernarus and that's the only thing i took credits for, making chernarus work with zombies since i can't see that anywhere so far.

And if by any chance the guys from the Wasteland or DZS team contacts me, i will apologize to them, but on what grounds ? (read my points above)

But thanks for the warning, and no im not mad/angry, just want to clear my thoughts about copyrighted contents which is illegal.

Hope i proved my point.
Good night.

hm had a look into the DZS Code, dont know how the Item Spawn stuff is called or how the delete works. I would rather like to use some kind of Respawn or Spawn new if no item is around ~2 meters or so. Normally i code in C++ pretty decent, its just going forward slow atm with the sqf stuff, not even sure if it is possible to code the function that way, maybe i will have to use some kind of delete. :-(

Crazylamer, I suggest you calm down. There was no need to get angry at what he said. He was simply implying that you include credits to make sure this post doesn't get taken down (Which you didn't by the way, you edited and added it in). I saw no valid reason so sound so aggressive.

reallyy, an emote saying he is stupid, he probably overlooked the part saying he was not angry, shoot, infact i didnt see it when i looked at it, i just looked at the first 5 lines and thought it was a hate reply, but that was because i wasnt feeling well at the time and couldnt handle the stress.

I saw the part where he said he wasn't angry. I was still looking forward to explaining why he should calm down. If he got that mad over somebody telling him to be careful then who knows what else he'll flame over. Great work on getting the zombies and such to work though. Keep up the good work man. :-) And yes I have no idea who Gulba was responding too.

Im not really angry, just annoyed being pointed out who im gonna give the credits for.
And no i didn't edit my post to include the credits, that was some other texts i added after.

I even had the credits long before i edited the map to work with the mods, so no disrespect but you should really try to read what i first wrote especially the part "i take no absolute credits for this little mod, i've included a credits.txt" Which doesn't say who the credits go to if you don't have the credits file, right ?

Then before i even release the files no one can actually say anything about the credits (quite logic).

And yeah i know i got a little too much annoyed and im sorry about that, been up for about 30 hours straight and looking through all the code made me a little "bitchy" but still, don't point out stuff before it's even released to the public eye.

But anyways, feel free to add me on skype "lilldavid" if you want the files to try it out, when you add me type the message: ArmA 3 Chernarus so i know when it's from here.

Have a nice day

Edit: I haven't had much time lately to look through all the script files regarding the spawning system of both weapons and zombies, it's not exactly optimal and also when the player and the zombies spawns it's more or less completely random even into the air at some points (not that often though) but since you always start out with the same gear it doesn't really bother me atleast.
