Tonight I was checking here : http://stats.swec.se/server/list to see if my new dedicated test server was in the list and I sorted that list by version. Then i've seen 3 public servers (Linux and windows), including the BI server, running a 1.11 version. Does that means they are testing the next final version to be released soon ? Maybe i'm wrong, maybe somebody else noticed that....but that's disturbing.

With every patch there is always a server testing it, I think that server is called "shadows playground".
If you saw a server running patch 1.11 its very well possible they have worked really hard on fixing many issues and are already up to 1.11.
But, this doesnt mean anything. It could as well be someone just trying to trick the community with some joke :)

Next time take a screenshot if you see something similair ;)

I'll take a screenshot for sure. There was a Bohemian Interactive server, one german server and one from the US. Same this morning, it can't be a joke.

That means just that some 1.11 builds are being tested by selected groups, it's no indidcation that 1.11 will be released tomorrow or next week.

@Mailman653
I really wonder when the very last user from the BI forums will finally realize that questions about release dates are always closed.

Yep me, I even know the exact release date. And with a little research and using your brain you even would know it too.

What makes you think that we answer your question different then any others. Patch 1.11 (or whatever version it will be) will be released When it's done. The reason why no release dates are announced anymore I explained a while back in the BI Forums.

Forgive me if this has already been posted, but I'm short on time and can't read the whole thread. What changes/additions are going to be implemented in v1.11?

Sorry, but I coulnt resist :)

What changes/additions are going to be implemented in v1.11?

Nobody knows, since there is no info released about this.
Check the 1.09 patch download page, maybe there is a changelog (I cant remeber and I am to lazy to check the page myself :D )

http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/ArmA_Beta_Patch_1.09#ENGINE_CHANGELOG

The "Data Changelog" is right under that.

And the "Main Changes"

* significantly smoother gameplay on Northern part of Sahrani (up to 100% increase in frame rate depending on scene, video settings and graphics card)

* combat AI improvements

* voice over net and multiplayer related fixes and improvements

* new anti cheating methods in multiplayer (including optional www.BattlEye.com depending on server settings: if enabled, be server and be client dlls will be used and automatically updated to your computer)

* fixed compatibility problems caused by various copy protections used

* fog is rendered correctly on DX10 generation cards

* new scripting functions (string manipulation, multiplayer synchronization)

Maybe they are still having trouble with VOIP :|.
I look forward to have everyone playing on the same stable version, 1.09b is certainly better than 1.08.
It must be complicated to work on a whole new game (Arma II) and still support the old one. Not many companies would do that...
