essentially what the description says. Me and a mate want to make a mission and we were wondering if you could edit the same mission at the same time or if there was a program or addon that let you do this.We have tried RTE and its not very easy to get working at the best of times, but what we want is just editor mode with two people instead of just one.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Have you tried delegating tasks between the two of you? I did this with a friend of mine and we took a base mission file, I had a copy and he had one except we worked on different parts of the mission then met back up and merged them together, troubleshot it, got everything working then saved it, split it again and worked on other tasks until it was done.

That sounds like a plan! How did you merge the files together? I'm fairly new to mission editing :p Also how would you make a domination mission type? or warefare?

We named one file mission1.map and the other mission2.map essentially and then copied eachothers folders and placed them in the the mission docs folder then went into the editor loaded the first and clicked merge, selected the 2nd file and they merged together on the map.

If I'm not mistaken, if you place a warfare module on the map, everything warfare is ready to go unless you want to get really fancy with it.

Since you are new to editing, take a look at Mr. Murray's Editing guide.

It's for Armed Assault but it'll transfer over to Arma 2 and OA. The Arma 2 and OA specific commands can be found here:
