Hello all, I wish to try this mod, but every time I go place down USMC units and hit Preview, it doesn't load and gives me "Bad Vehicle type" usually varying between "B_mas_Assaultpack_des and B_mas_Kitbag_des". The other various USMC units are also unable to load because of the same error. Could someone please assist me? Thanks!

Roberts the latest patch broke the way weapon sounds work, and you need to patch the NATO SF and Russian Spetsnaz mod. Here is the link to the download: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=26208

Sometimes I like to think as I started the whole "earplugs" thing.

W0lle: The only advice I can give you is: Do not try to understand BI. You will not succeed and it only makes your brain go boom. I would even go so far and say that not even they understand their own actions :-D.

US Marine Corp and MARSOC units for ARMA3

Hi all,

I’m updating all my units pack in order to benefit from new weapons from my NATO SF\Spetsnaz weapons pack and to make all their uniforms with working insigna.
There are also some small other fixies you’ll find in the changelog.
Hope you’ll enjoy this new update !

Description

This addon is a retexture of NATO units and vehicles, It adds several camouflage uniforms plus custom headgear and gear in order to represent USMC and MARSOC units in following types :
US Marines Corps:
- MARSOC: operators in woodland camo with wide variety of shirts for every kind of environment from desert to temperate and wooden areas.

- MARSOC Direct Action: operators in green coverall suite for CQB and naval operations.

- MARSOC(Para): MARSOC units equipped with parachutes ready to be deployed fom the sky.

- MEU WOODLAND: Marines units for temperate and wooden areas.

- MEU DESERT: Marines units for arid and desert environments.

- MEU ARCTIC: Marines units for arctic and snow environments.

- Recon WOODLAND: Recon units for temperate and wooden areas, both in heavy and light gear.

- Recon DESERT: Recon units for arid and desert environments, both in heavy and light gear.

- Recon ARCTIC: Recon units for arctic and snow environments, both in heavy and light gear.

- USMC(Vehicles): A3 vehicles retextured and adapted with USMC gear and crews: Quad, MRAPs, APC, Boat, Speedboat, SDV, Mortar, all static weapons, helicopters, armed offroad, logistic vehicles.

- USMC(Support): Ammo bearers units, pilot and crew.

For the Weapons:

Vilas: the weapons are mostly Vilas MLODS modified and ported to A3 with his permission, credits for most part of weapons models go to him thanks a lot because I wouldn't have been able to create realistic weapons for the units without your great models!

BI: for releasing the A1/A2/OA sample models , from which I have taken the rest of the weapons models ported to A3, thanks for the same reason above!

Alwarren: thanks a lot for making me able to port Vilas and A1 weapons to A3 , your constant help was essential to have the weapons working ingame!

Zach Gibsons: thanks a lot for making Arma 3 weapons Tutorial, without your great tutorial I wouldn't have been able to port the weapons ingame.

ToadBall: thanks a lot for making Arma 3 ready M16, that was foundamental to get the weapons ingame!

So I'm trying to set this up in zeus and for some reason the units aren't showing up in the zeus spawn menu. I've used the manage addons module and this was working beforehand in a previous build. Any ideas?

Thanks for this mod, my 5° Divisione Marine(5DM) loves you.
But i have a little problem.
When i put the faction into the ALiVE Modules, it spawn all faction units, and when I am in the game I see artic units, Woodland units and the other units, so the problem is:
I'm playing in the afghan maps, against Talibans so it's ugly to see artic units or woodland units in the middle of the desert, it's a little bit unrealistic.
There is a method to put only USMC Desert Marines?

NO VEHICLES OPTIONAL CONFIG:
I made this optional config to remove vehicles from the pack on users demand.

It will remove dependancy from my NATO SF Spetsnaz Vehicle pack, so if you use this optional config you don't need this pack anymore, but BE ADVISED IT COULD CAUSE COMPATIBILITY ISSUES BETWEEN DIFFERENT VERSION OF THE ADDON (VEHICLE AND NON-VEHICLES) AND WITH PREVIOUS MISSIONS (DEPENDANCIES AND MISSING VEHICLES) SO USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

In order to use it:
- open @mas/addons
- REMOVE "mas_usa_mars_c.pbo" file and replace it with "mas_usa_mars_noveh_c.pbo"
- done

Requirements.
Latest version of my NATO SF\Spetsnaz weapons pack Here
My NATO SF\Spetsnaz Vehicles pack Here (NOT needed if you're using the included NO Vehicle optional config)

Hey there, I'm getting the same problem as totalgimp. "Addon 'mas_usa_mars' requires addon 'mas_weapons'".
I've done everything by the book. I deactivated everything and loaded only "NATO SF and Russian Spetsnaz Weapons" through ArmA3Sync. I've tried what totalgimp did as well but I still get the same error :( What the hell is "mas_weapons", I can't find it somewhere :/ Is it supposed to exist in the downloaded mod? Because I downloaded it at least 3 times and it's not in there. I tried duplicating and renaming a .pbo file to "mas_weapons.pbo" but still nothing, it was a longshot anyway...
Oh and, yeah, I can't see any of the weapons in game editor or Virtual Arsenal.


EDIT: After some searching around I got it right. Just for future reference:
If you have multiple folders with the @mas modfolder in them, ArmA3Sync chooses a @mas folder randomly and break things up. If you want to merge Massis' mods, do so, but keep one folder with the @mas folder in it in your chosen mods directory.

I know I should post that in NATO SF/ Rus Spetsnaz Weapons pack, but now I already posted, sorry.

Just one thing I'd like to see fixed: All of the weapons should be available in the Virtual Arsenal. Unfortunately, some of them are and others (like the AS Val and VSS Vintorez) aren't.
Also, just a small begging: Please add 6B3, 6B4 and 6B5 body armours, MASKA-1Sh, Ris'-T and Altyn helmets SR-3 Vikhr + Suppressor, SR-3M + Suppressor and Stetchkin APS and APB. I know it's too much, just pick some favourites :D Thanks! :D
