Just played in editor with new cwr2 version. New partisans units for east/west side are great. Also love the new m14 its my favorite rifle. One question in West side we have US Rangers are they there from 1st release and i didnt saw them in last few months ;) or you added them in one of the last updates?

Added 6 minutes later:

One more thing, sometimes when in editor i choose sniper from British expansion v1.07 i see on screen error message: No entry 'bin\config.bin/cfgmagazines.cwr2_5rnd_762x51_NoTracer'.

Added 6 hours 23 minutes later:

Possible bug: when we play as Partisans(west or east) and we give our teammates backpacks with ammo etc we (players unit, for example teamleader) can't open them and take ammo from backpacks. When units are killed we have option in action menu-open backpack. But when they are alive we can't open them, no option in action menu.

Added 13 minutes later:

Also i have this problem with Fia and Russian soldiers that have backpacks: for example with asst. At specialist, asst. Machinegunner, specnaz, saboteur etc.

Added 1 minute later:

With US, British and Dutch soldiers all is ok.

Added 9 seconds later:

With US, British and Dutch soldiers all is ok.

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback.

The problem with Independent and East side units not being able to take ammunition from backpacks carried by another character was identified internally some time ago, but we have not been able to find the root cause yet. It appears that these units behave like Arma II units, which are also not capable of opening backpacks carried by another character.

The screen message is due to a class gone missing that has been restored. A config entry got overwritten or removed by accident. It will be fixed in the next version of CWR2.

The Ranger units are an addition of the latest release, to match the newly defined Spetsnaz assault units on the OPFOR side. They use a model in basic BDU and patrol cap without PASGT vest like the old Dragon model kit featured.

Ok, thanks for the answer Sander.
In missions when i want to take something from my teammates i give them orders to drop backpacks on ground. Then i take what i need (when backpack is on ground i have in actionmenu-open backpack). Later i give unit 2nd order to pick up backpack. So this bug is not such a big problem. ;)

It is a known problem that has defeated attempts to resolve it. It appears to be connected with an inheritance structure, though the config for the Blufor -, Independent - and Opfor sides are set up similarly, somehow only the first have the capability to open backpacks carried by other units. There may be some other arcane characteristic at play influencing this ability.

This updated weapon config should fix the missing 5rnd 7.62x51 Magazine:

Copy the cwr2_weaponcfg.pbo and cwr2_weaponcfg.pbo.cwr2.bisign into your \@CWR2\addons folder, replacing the existing files.

I would like to take back my earlier post, asking about using other mods with this mod. No need, this mod is incredible, I would never dirty it up like that. Thanks everyone for the huge amount of work put in to this, it's quite amazing, doesn't take long to see that.

Not sure if I'm just dumb or what, but I couldn't get into the truck in the first mission, in CWC campaign?

Reminds me that I wanted to tweak this a bit but then obviously forgot about it. You need to wait a little until the first guys are in the truck, then it gets "unlocked" and you can get in too.

Ok, just tried again, the guys never move for me. The mission ends as fail without them ever moving. I was using the beta patch, my friend said it was same for him, I believe he wasn't using the beta patch.

Very strange that this happens now all of the sudden. Please get the new CWC Campaign version (1.10a) and see if the idiots board the truck now. When you get the order to get in the truck should be unlocked and everyone jumps in.

Guys could you add to the Rangers medic icon (the one that we see on monitor when have him in squad) the small red cross. Now in firefights is hard to choose medic, he has icon like standard soldier in squad.

This should be fixed in the new unit configs:

Above configs also contain:
* Added missing SpeechVariants to all relevant units
* Spetsnaz and Ranger assault squads have a team leader added

Remember that when you replace the R6 unit configs with the above ones, you may not be able to connect to any server since the files are changed.

Thanks for this fantastic work (as usual)! The models itself and their textures are of stunning Quality, like the whole CWR2-mod! Anyway, CWR2 is one reason not to order ArmA 3 (this year...).

Ah...wait! What was that?! "Open the door, ..we know you're in there...and writing a bothering article....!"

Always nice to get the good old OFP-Feeling in such high quality!

Just took a flight with the beautiful Cobra in CWC campaign and noticed, that gunner don't switch to TOW-Rockets (using Default "STRG" + "F" keys as usual). After boarding the heli, I gave my gunner a first (not armored) target and he starts shooting at it with the standard active weapon, the 20mm M197 cannon. Later, when engaging tanks, I used STRG + F to switch to TOW-2A, marked a armored target an using mouse-button one (Standard fire key), but he fires Hydra rockets despite the chosen TOW. Did I missed something about that? Searched for "cant switch to TOW" in the Forums, but didn't find anything. (I dont use EB-Air Mod and fire-modus "manual fire" is switched off).
