And why can he not ask questions here?

The soundmod only replaces the sounds of default weapons cause it was made that way. Custom made weapons often have different class/configs and so the maker of the soundmod would have to download and open each of those custom weapon mods to add proper sounds for those as well. If the custom weapon addon does use the default in-game sounds the soundmod will overwrite the sounds of that weapon addon as well.
But often the weapon addon maker already spend time on a new sound himself or that same soundmodmaker made a new sound for that weapon addon.
Weapon addon makers should simply ask any soundmod maker for support and ask him to make some nice new sounds for their weapon. That works easier/better than trying to cover all weapon addons out there in a soundmod.

May have i misread the question, but from what i understand as Foxhound explained a weapon mod already has its own sounds, and may distort or conflict with JSRS.

Bis isn't going to go backwards, why release and expansion of what Arma2CO already has thats counterproductive based on the concepts and content of Arma3.

If you wanted modern units ect,. then you'll have to look to the community to porting the arma2 units and such over to Arma3, Bis released the assets to do so and folks are already porting over maps, weapons and units.
