thank you but its not so easy play ace mod without play with six becouse i have steam version of arma and there is some problem with beta patch. its sucks because i dont know how to do it manually. can you fix it please. scopes and sniper weapons working properly

Hey Jarosak,

No problem.

Download the 3 mods from the links above.

Then extract them with winrar:
http://www.win-rar.com/download.html?&L=0

You will have a folder named @Dagger

It contains all the needed pbos.

Replace your old version @Dagger folder with this one and you should be good to go.

Start the game normaly with your Playwith Six or whatever and voila.

Notive that all my 3 mods are inside a @Dagger folder, so by replacing the existing one you will be adding the new files n a way that everything Dagger related will always be in the same folder, all the 3 mods inside the same @Dagger folder.

I've been trying to figure out how to add your mods to LEA? It's not working for me and there really not a good guide out there. Any help?

Hey Mast, sure.

1)Enter LEA and click “Help” -> “Install new addons” -> “Import”, go to the @Dagger folder and select the file dgr-ballistics_1_10.lea.addon. Then chick “Close” and get back to the main screen.
2)Then click “Help” -> “Manage Addons” and check “DGR_Ballistics”.
3)Click “Profiles” -> “Edit” -> “New”, give a name to your profile, select it under the “Units” tree, then select “DGR Ballistics” under “Faction Filter” and voila! All ammunition made is right before your eyes. Click “Apply to LEA” in order to save your profile.

You can also check the screen on Dagger Ballistics manual page 72.

Just let me know if you are still having difficulties.

Thank you! That worked. I was trying to add the Dagger Weapons mod only and all I needed to do was add your Ballistics mod.

Also, in your next update... think about the 5.56x45mm (NATO) change from .223 and 7.62x51mm (NATO) change from .308. I know it will be a lot of work but in the long run, it will be worth it.

All right Mast, good you´ve made it.

I strongly encourage you to test the ".308" T101 explosive ammo, they are awesome!

Now consider installing the scopes mod and I ensure you will have a very nice experience with the scoped rifles. I´ve uploaded some pics on the scopes forum:

hi! i keep getting an error msg: "Dgr_Ballistics requires CAWEAPONS_ACR". I don't use the ACR mod and i have deleted dgr_ballistics_acr pbo file. any idea how to fix it?

Hey Spotter,

You are probably using the old version of Dagger Ballistics. The new one has this message fixed.

Delete any folders named @Dagger_Ballistics, @DGR_Scopes, or whatever... an don´t install Dagger packs from Six Updater. Delete the folders if you have downloaded from there. The only source I can ensure is Armaholic.

The only folder you must have is one named @Dagger and that´s all. Re-download all the 3 Dagger addons from Armaholic and place all the pbo´s into the C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\@Dagger\Addons folder.

You´ll need the 3 official Dagger addons:

hi Dagger, really looking forward to trying your mod :)
does your mod offer dynamic ballistics variation due to environmental condition? as a real shooter myself, i'm looking for some mod that can simulate real life ballistics...you know that at extreme long range, there are lotta aspects we need calculate:
1) Bullet Drop
range, angle of firing, air pressure, air temperature, humidity, muzzle velocity (corresponding to ammo temperature), & Coriolis effect (earth rotation)
2) Sideway Drift
Spin drift/Gyroscopic effect, Coriolis effect (earth rotation), and Wind deflection (speed & direction)

it'd be so awesome if you could offer those things :D i want Arma to become a long range shooting simulator \m/
i have tons of information about projectiles (Ballistic Coefficient, muzzle velocity, weight, length, Range card/Solution tables) that i want to share with you for free ^_^ i also have 2 Ballistics apps called "Shooter" & "Applied Ballistics" (made by famous Ballistician Bryan Litz) that can accurately calculate trajectory of all bullets
i'd like to join & help you improve this mod to make it even more realistic ^_^ please contact me

hey Dagger!
i did exactly as you told me but no luck...still the same error and it crashes missions/campaign when i try to load a savegame. could you please check once again that Armaholic hosts the right version?

btw, the error concerning that missing CAWEAPONS_ACR addon is strange cause such addon doesn't exist at all in any of your suggested mods.

@Spotter,

The mod requires ACE plus the official expansions/DLC´s: PMC, BAF and ACR. The other mods are optional.

There´s no problem if you don´t have the official expansions, you just hit ok at game start when it pops the message addon Dagger Ballistics requires addon X, Y Z...

You can never load a save game when you add or remove any addon or pbo. That´s true for any mod, not just only Dagger mods. In this case, all you need to do is to revert your save game to a previous stage and everything will work properly.

If you are too lazy to play your mission again you can use the cheat code:
"Left Shift" + "Num pad minus" and then write: endmission and you finish the mission.

I forgot to answer all of your question on the PM´s. So, here it goes:

The game engine has:
1)Bullet Drop.
2)Wind drift.
3)Angle of firing, since it simulates gravity, bullets will hit high when you shoot way up or down.
4)Bullet reflection. Penetration will not be full if you are shooting at any angle other than 90 degrees from the target´s surface.

The vanila version + ACE mod have:
1)Scope click adjustmnets for elevation and windage.
2)Improved penetration feature considering bullet material and mass.

Both vanila and ACE don´t have:
1)Variable ballistic coefficients, so accuracy, if compared to the real thing, could never be better than 98% accurate.
2)Air density variations due to saturation, temperature and altitude, so all my ballistic data was made for the men conditions.
3)Barrel length affects muzzle speed, so my velocities were made for the average rifle.
4)Coriolis effect. Someone said on a forum that it could easily be done by adding a hidden wind script blowing a bit to the East when you shoot North and a bit to the West when you shoot South, but I have no idea about how to make scripts.
5)Spin drift. It might consume too much processing I guess.

What Dagger Ballistics does:
1)Set the ballistic coefficients, penetration values and bullet speeds to match real values. In response, ingame bullet drops an wind drifts match real life values at mean conditions.

Bohemia Interactive also develops the VBS2 - Virtual Battlespace 2, which some forums out there claim to consider atmospheric parameters into ballistics but I´ve never tried it out and the game seems to be too expensive. Oh, and they say it is not a game. Another cool feature of them is dismemberment. Soldiers loose limbs when heavily hit.
