I see it all the time, low quality screenshots ingame.
You spend all that time on textures and models, then do it no justice by taking a super compressed low quality screenshot.
Take 5 minutes to set your system and game up for a great screenshot to show people your hard work!

Lets start with Steam - Steam > Settings > In-Game
First of all enable it ingame, it does fk all to performance and you are only worried about taking a good shot.
Now make sure "Save Uncompressed Copy" is ticked.

Now, Ingame settings.
General
  • Sampling - 200% *This will create a large performance hit, keep in mind this is simply for your screenshot.
  • Overall - 4000
  • Object - 4000
  • Shadow - 200
  • Rest of settings set as high as you can go.
Display
  • Resolution - 1920x1080+ *Set as high as your screen will allow.
AA & PP
  • Bloom - 100
  • Radial Blur - 6
  • Rotational Blur - 6
  • Depth of Field - 25
  • FSAA - 2x *Using sampling instead of AA increases texture quality and decreases aliasing.
  • ATOC - All Trees + Grass
  • PPAA - FXAA Ultra
  • Ansio. Filtering - Ultra

Get ingame, take a bunch of screenshots using steam then go through and select the best ones.
I hope this proves useful to someone, i love quality textures to get the screenshots they deserve :D

Have a good one!
Ps. I am not sure if this would be the correct place for this post, but i feel it is.

Good guide and nice idea to help Arma players with this. Most systems can take a lot more then people might think and can take even more as drivers enhance over time.

Only 2 setting i prefer different:
FSAA: 8x (looks better i think)
PPAA: SMAA Ultra (less pixely for some reason)

This is really useful information as my screenshots are usually awful and not worth having!

Best to use editor, set up a nice mission with explosions and all. Then use splendid camera and press H to remove HUD.
