Boeing C-17 for ArmA 3



Info
This mod was originally made by mukcep. Therefore all credits go to mukcep.

Features
-Cargo ramp and boarding door opens
-Lights and collision lights work
-Boosters for combat take off (User key 18)
-Brakes after landing (User key 19)

Known Issues
-Not solid. Players can walk through
-Flare pattern is wrong
-Does not have navigator or Co-pilot seat (caused a lot of issues)
-Enemies shoot at the plane but AA unit AIs do not lock on to the plane
-Plane interior looks very bad
-Floating seats in Second pilot seat's view

Super cool mod !! Can't wait to see your update in order to be able to load/ unload / drop vehicle and also the co-pilot seat. :p

Features for braking or combat take-off is just what is missed on lot of mods.

I would not want to seem like a downer, but what about copyright? I was not able to release the aircraft at the time. Maybe you've heard - there is such a studio: area51. And I was release the aircraft only and The exceptionally for friends. I do not want to someone accused me after.

I believe you are allowed to do that. Hotshotmike ports models from Counter Strike to ArmA 3. I would assume that porting a model from a game to ArmA is not an issue.

Seems like no need to incorporate igiload into addon due to most use igiload initialized in script beginning of mission and difficult to keep in sync with updates. Igiload ends up being called up 2-3 times in game showing loadcargo and unload cargo multiple times in scroll pulldown action menu.

I have gotten permission from Mukcep. He has allowed me to keep this development going.

Added 2 minutes later:

I may end up taking Igiload off of the C-17. I just wanted to have an easier access for people to load vehicles without creating a mission.sqm.

Please put IGI load back in, yout new "attach, detach" method is bugged to hell and doesn't work at all. IGI worked perfectly fine. Our clan won't be using this without the IGI because the current attach is crap. Please put it back in. Thanks

Just like I posted on the download page for the C-17 mod.

Some unrealistic errors have been noted.

The Cargo Bay Ramp should not extend as far as it does. It passes the coplaner mark and thus, would cause the aircraft to pitch down very quickly.

The Cargo Bay Toe ramps do not fold all the way down onto the cargo bay ramp. What happens is when the cargo bay door is closed, the toe ramps rest on the cargo door. When it goes to open, the toe ramps move to a vertical position (not fold all the way down onto the ramp) and then the cargo door raises up and the ramp lowers down. When the ramp hits the ground, the toe ramps then move down onto the ground.

The toes are also removable, as they're only used for pallets and vehicles. For Airdrops and passengers, you would have them removed.

As I'm typing this, I'm also listening to C-17's take off at the flightline.
