I am not exactly what you would call "good" at scripting and editing in Arma, but I imagine that this would be possible, I just have no idea how. Basically I want to be able to radio delta or something and have a vehicle with two people inside spawn somewhere on the map. Once they spawn, they make their way to my location, exit the vehicle, and join my squad. Keep in mind I don't exactly understand scripting in this game very well yet, so bear with me on this one.

If nobody replies I guess I'll make a new post, I'm not sure about the bumping rules, I haven't even been on this forum for the longest, and my old account seems to have disappeared, but I'll push my luck.

this is not exactly want you want but you could try this
in the trigger top right side there should be two things called TYPE and ACTIVATION, now click on TYPE and select SWITCH. once you have done that go down to ACTIVATION and select RADIO DELTA and now make the trigger size 0 so there is no radius/circle around the trigger. now add the hunter somewhere and make a waypoint HOLD right infront of it, then sync the HOLD waypoint with the trigger (two chains thing is syncing, its like grouping drag the blue line to sync things). now to make the hunter to join the group when he gets close to the player, so make sure you have your waypoint thing on and click the hunter once, then click the player twice and it will come up with the waypoint interface, in the select type click JOIN and then your done! then you can try it out by pressing 0 then 0 then spacebar to select radio delta and he should come and join and when they are in your group you can order them to disembark.

Important:
1. if you want two guys just group a rifleman or something with the hunter
2. to make them disembark press ` (next to one) then select disembark

I know this is probably what you don't what but its the best I know on this situation

This is basically exactly what I want, aside from spawning, but that's not important. There is one thing though, I want them to automatically disembark as soon as they join, and start following me, it's something that is very important to the mission. Also, the vehicle has 3 additional units, placed with the moveinCargo command. Is there a way to make them disembark and follow once they get close and join?

I know this is probably what you don't what but its the best I know on this situation

It's not showing a replay from me because I quoted you or something, but what I asked was, is there a way that I can make them automatically disembark and start following me, with out me commanding them in any way?

Ok I've got a way
so we have to get rid of the blufor hunter and replace it with an empty one and you have to name it, now you have to make names for all the passengers and driver. to make a guy into driver automatically (units name) moveindriver (vehicles name). now for the driver place a HOLD waypoint infront of the hunter he is driving and do the same as before. once you have set it up like before your gonna add a new trigger, make the activation Blufor, make the radius of the trigger 0, make the countdown to 3 seconds in min, med and max, in the condition write (drivers name) distance (player radioing delta's name)<20

in example form -

now to make passengers aswell write this in triggers condition: driv1 distance p1 < 20 and pas1 distance p1 < 20 and pas2 distance p1 < 20 and pas3 distance p1 < 20;

so basically it detects when the unit comes within a distance of the selected unit.

now in the on act

e.g. driv1 action ["eject", hunt1]; pas1 action ["eject", hunt1]; etc..... (hunt1 is hunter)
so in the end it should have this

in the new trigger countdown is 3, on act: driv1 action ["eject", hunt1]; pas1 action ["eject", hunt1]; etc.....
condition driv1 distance p1 < 20 and pas1 distance p1 < 20 and pas2 distance p1 < 20 and pas3 distance p1 < 20;
activation: blufor

Important
its setup like last time but with empty vehicle with a name, a new trigger with that stuff in it and group the passengers with the driver. you can also change the countdown so they disembark later.

Ah, thank you. I will test this soon and edit this post if it worked or not

I'm a bit confused about one part, you said to put this in condition "(drivers name) distance (player radioing delta's name)<20" How is that supposed to look? Am I supposed to use brackets or something? It doesn't accept what I put in

Oh yeah sorry about that just leave that part out it was just a mistake its meant to look like this

So I make the activation Radio Delta, not blufor? You had me a bit confused lol, I'm off to test it now...

NVM that, there's two triggers, forget I said that. They just drive up and don't get out, what do I do to make them set off the new trigger?

NVM AGAIN I had my player's name misspelled somehow, everythings works like it should, thank you very much for the help, it's appreciated a lot. If I call in the backup in the middle of a combat situation, will they not get close enough to get out? I could just adjust the distance, but I'm just wondering... Anyway, thanks again!

lol I had to make the car invincible so they would arrive, they kept crashing. Damn AI...
