So I'm working on a mission here where you begin in a fixed-wings and your job is to bomb the hell out of an enemy base (Task1). But to complicate things a bit, another fast-mover tries to prevent you from doing it as it attacks you soon as you get close to the base. So your second objective should appear to destroy an enemy fast-mover after you spotted it (Task2). Unfortunately, I'm not an ArmA-scripting guy so I can't really figure out how to make Task2 appear and assign AFTER you detect a fast-mover. Fortunately, I found out about this site and decided to give it a try. Please, help me! :P Thank you! ;)

Dont think its possible without using the detected by trigger condition.

But you could make a trigger that detects when when the plane is within a certain distance of a player, the condition for that would be:

jetsname distance player < 800

800 been 800m

there is the knowsabout command


player knowsabout  jetsname > 1

the range is 0-4

4 being the maximum you can know about an object
