Hello all,

I use PlayWithSix to install mods and noticed I have 2 different locations for the userconfig folders&files. One in the steam game install directory and one in my documents folder inside each respective mod folder. Is this ok? I noticed that editing config files in one folder has no effect while editing them in the other folder does. Can't remember which one though as I am using a different computer now. When I delete the folders that have no effect in game after changing configs, playwithsix installs them again.

For info: all my mods install into my documents folder by default, not the steam game install location.

Thanks in advance for the help.

yes there are two folders. the steam folder stores it. but when you want to use the config with your mod you have to place it in the a3\userconfigs\yourmod\userconfig.hpp folder to make it load wih the game. if im right sixupdater will place the userconfig in there for you or you have to do it by hand! if the mod doesn not find the mod\config it is supposed to let you know?

I did a test by deleting the tpw_mod and reinstalling it with PlayWithSix. So as I said it created a userconfig folder and file in the steam directory as well as in my documents.

...\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\userconfig\tpw_mods\tpw_mods.hpp
...\Documents\Arma 3\@tpw_mods\userconfig\tpw_mods.hpp

When I delete the userconfig in my documents folder, the tpw_mod still works, so I'm assuming it's only the config in the steam folder that it needs?
