THIS MOD IS STRONGLY OUTDATED, and works on this mod is susspended right now. I dont recommend to use JTAC TAB at the moment.
However there`s a lot of helpful information in this thread.



JTAC TAB is ArmA3 addon that provides advanced JTAC system support. Current version allow to call fixed and rotary wings CAS and rotary wings transport with escort when needed. JTAC operator can chose approach direction, type of attack and target mark type. JTAC TAB is based on real CAS and TRANS requests. Like in real world, if u mark target with smoke, you must confirm smoke color when pilot asks for it etc. However, some details had to be slightly modified for ArmA purpose.

JTAC TAB is also easy to use for mission makers. There are 4 modules to put and synchronize on the map. You can just “put and play”, or you can adjust each cas parameters for your own.

Features:
    JTAC tablet (avaible if player have UAV Terminal in slot)
    Fixed and rotary wings CAS
    Ability to chose different types of ammo and attack (gbu, carpet, direct fire, at and ap missiles)
    Different types of tagret marking (laser, smoke)
    Pilots recocnize smoke/lightsitck color, and JTAC operator must confirm it before engage (like in real life)
    Rotary wings can hoover in Battle Position, and JTAC operator decide of missle type and time of engage
    Transport request for rotary wings - heli taxi
    Taxi can be call with escort if enemy is near
    Abort codes for abort requested cas
    Day / Night marking target system
    Live track requested unit
    Realistic request templates
    Simple usage (modules)
    JTAC operator field manual (PDF)


Future plans:
    Supply drop request
    MEDEVAC request
    Artilery support (maybe)
    Ac 130 support
    flares for night mark

Known issues
    different issues on older ArmA versions
    transport LZ check in extremly steep area

    - Added: Transport heli doors are now opening and close. Heli requested safe zone fly with open doors all the time (if someone know how to open doors in Orca please contact me).
    - Added: You can use underbarrel smokeshells for smoke mark
    - Added: MM can now decide if destroyed unit can be respawned ([JTAC] Enable module - Respawn delay - 0 means no respawn)

    #Fixed: smoke LZ mark for transport
    #Fixed: RTB for CAS direct
    #Fixed: Transport spawn with escort works fine now
    #Added: Abort codes that allow abort requested support
    #Added: Requested Units screen - allow live track and abort requested unit

You will see this soon on Armaholic, but are you sure you want this placed under "Modules"? The page is submitted and will be rleased under "misc addon" and as such "Other" might fit better? But I leave it totally up to you what you think is best, just let me know ;-)

Can you make this work in Zeus too ,please? That will give us more options for play? tnx
Edit:Could you give us choices to place any plane as a CAS too,ex a Texan 2 add on plane too,
please? Will you please make a Showcase or put it in Bootcamp and /or in in VR-Training and Viritual Arsenal to try/train with.Could be usefull in training of Recruits for Clans.

Edit: You can use custom planes. Select Custom from dropdown list and then type class name of plane in field below. If custom plane config is made right it wil work.

The only issue i have is the transport chopper escort spawns INSIDE The transport.. and blows them up.

OH MAN OH MAN OH MAN!!! I was just thinking about this and BAM here it is.

So i'm having one issue and one feedback item.

1. I'm using green color smoke and transport not working.
2. Can you make it so that CAS and Transport requests are canceled and they RTB? For example if i request a tranport and then change my mind the HELI is stuck waiting on me.

I take it back, the smoke issue must be a addon i have conflicting. SorryB I still would like to see item#2 though :)

All I can say is...WOW. Superb work! *THUMBS UP*

This is by far the best, and most complete, air support console I have used or seen for ArmA3 to date (my opinion of course). Through my time of designing missions for A3 I felt a sore lack of this type of feature in the game, and was left using and reconfiguring old air support scripts from A2 to serve this purpose (which still didn't work as well as I wanted). And all I could wish for was an air support script similar to that of Mando's Air Support Console for A2, which was a truly high quality script package. Then this got released and only after a short while of playing with it, I am in love. *NOUVEAU

This is just as good and polished as I could have ever hoped for, and thank you so much for this magnificent work of art. Mark targets with smoke? Laser Designate? Truly awesome. Will be following this mod for the long-run, and with it already this good, can only imagine what else will be included down the road.

By the way, when I was modifying my own air support scripts, I created actual radio voice-overs for the dialogue between the operator and aircraft. I think they turned out very well, they sound realistic and immersive. I use several sound editing programs, which I am quite familiar with. I would be more than willing to create some audio dialogue for you, based off the current text dialogue, if this is something you would be interested in. If you would like to find out more, or check out a sample of some of my work, please feel free to shoot me a PM and I will get back to you asap.

And aboud sounds, u must read my minds. I think about it several times. But time, my poor sound editing skils... And found someone with good voice for it isnt easy :)
