sO AWESOME. I'll try to find the addon bug and get back to you when i find it. Only guess is maybe a conflict with ALIVE but i had a number of others enabled as well so who knows. Thanks

Added 2 hours 54 minutes later:

OK I've been driving myself crazy and i think its a bug. Smoke marker does not work for transport? I tested it with only CBA and your addon enabled on stratus test mission with no scripts. PLease confirm you see this, or i can send you my mission files but again all i did was following:

1. Create mission iwht Player and JTAC modules
2. Call for transport.
3. Throw smoke and heli ignores and sits there

Smoke does work for CAS however

Thanks

i will test it and we will see. As in real world smoke is only reference for pilot, not exact place of landing but maybe something goes wrong ;) Look for update tomorrow morning.

EDIT:
Just release update:

Changelog:
v1.1
#Fixed: smoke LZ mark for transport
    #Fixed: RTB for CAS direct
#Fixed: Transport spawn with escort works fine now
#Added: Abort codes that allow abort requested support
#Added: Requested Units screen - allow live track and abort requested unit
#Removed: "Send to base" for rotary wings CAS (you need to abort them by abort code now)

avaible for download when admins updates armacholic mod page

The only working AC130 that I know of for A3 is by fullerpj, in the USAF mod. You should try sending him a message and maybe he would be willing to help or allow you to incorporate his AC130 into your module. It's worth a try anyways. Here's a link to his project:

http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?176720-United-States-Air-Force

Good luck! Would love to see the AC130 as a support option. And I've got some audio samples ready for you, just let me know a good way to reach you.

For those having trouble with the CAS portion of this module, this is all the relevant information that you must enter into the console in order to request air support:

1. Select which aircraft you wish to call in, and how many from the two top drop-down menus.

2. Click Target Location, and click on the map where you want the airstrike. Click IP/BP and click on the map somewhere outside the Target Zone (Which is indicated by a ring around the target area that you set before). IP/BP is not allowed to be within the target zone, it is simply a base point for the aircraft hold on station, until you are ready for them to begin their attack. Finally, Click on 'endlies Location', this is actually meant to say 'Friendlies Location'. Now click on the map where your team, or any friendly forces, will be during the airstrike.

3. Select the fly in direction for the airstrike. This is the direction the CAS will enter the target zone from, once they leave the IP/BP point. (North, South, East, West, etc.)

4. Select the type of target CAS will be attacking from the drop-down menu. (Infantry, Armor, Structure, etc.)

5. Select the type of marker that will be used for CAS to identify the target from the drop-down menu. Selecting 'None' will have the CAS attack the target mark that you have already placed on the map. Selecting 'Laser' or 'Smoke' will require you to mark the target for CAS, when they say they are ready for it.

6. Finally, select the type of payload you want CAS to deliver to the target. (GBU, Direct Fire, etc.)

7. Now just hit 'Request' and the aircraft should be spawned and moving to the IP/BP point. They will notify you when they are on-station and awaiting your order.

And that's it. Hopefully I didn't miss anything, was just trying to remember all the steps off the top of my head. Good luck and hope that this helps clear up how to work the CAS.

I deleted all mods only because of this one but with no effect. I don´t know what I'm doing wrong...
My version of Arma 3: 1.14.1162116

I read the pdf manual. Put all modules and sync them. Than i start the game as a UAV operator, opened the JTAC TAB, choose number and type of the aircraft but when it comes to TGT Location - IP/BP - Friendlies location I´m lost...I keep clicking on that little map to the left but nothing happens...

Just registered to thank you for this great mod.

(tested only for fixed wing cas)
It would really be great if I could use the underbarrel Smokeshells for the marking of targets, it works with the hand thrown Smokeshells but I couldn't bring it to run with the underbarrel ones.

I think it wouldn't be to hard to get the position of the underbarrelsmokeshells as I see that it already works with the normal smokeshells.
