I started off following a tutorial on how to make tasks. I got this far. . This isnt the problem however. When I preview the game, the objective is completed.
My setState is set up like this

My createTask is set up like this

I've done everything the tutorial has said, correctly. I've made sure my boxes are all the same. I was aware that one tutorial said 'alpha', so I tried one that I believed not to be in alpha due to the later date of release but still no dice

I appreciate any help given. Thanks
P.s if you need to contact me in another way besides here for ease, you can contact me on Steam.

Once again, thanks alot

The problem may be that your trigger size is too big and you are beginning the preview inside of the trigger automatically completing the task. Try moving your start location outside of the trigger, or make the trigger smaller. I hope this helps!

Its a 15 x 15 trigger. I'm spawned around 500 meters away

Your trigger activation is a little strange, as it will currently fire when BLUFOR detects BLUFOR within that trigger, so if the AI is clever enough to recognise themselves and what side they're on, it should do exactly the same as BLUFOR, present.

If changing that doesn't work, then upload your mission and I'll double check it for you. :-)

Fixed, your modules were grouped together! Hidden by the sync line though, granted. *JOKINGLY*

Unsync the modules and you'll see they're grouped, just ungroup them and re sync, and voila. :-)

(BIS should really make it a double line or something if they're sync-ed and grouped, so many problems would be solved...)

I believe what I just tried was what you said, but I'm not sure. I've used the editor before but I'm not sure about the terminology or some of the features.

Is ungrouping as simple as using this tool: , clicking and dragging off of a module or person to make the line disappear?

That is F5, or the 'sync' button, which creates the dark blue lines between things.

F2 is the 'group' button, which is the light blue line usually between units of the same group.

So press F5, click and drag away, and you should see that behind the dark blue line there was a light blue one. So F2, remove that line, then re-sync them as you'd done previoulsy. *THUMBS UP*

My advice is to watch a ton of youtube tutorials, that's a good place to start with mission editing :-)

Thanks for explaining what each button is for, that was a big help.

The steps that I had currently were infact from a tutorial which was odd xD *YAHOO*
