Hello everybody ,

I wanted to share a campaign we made with a friend for the arma contest.

"Immerse yourself in the heart of an exciting investigation at the border of the supernatural"

We had a very limited time to make it (in our freetime so ,for now ,i look like a zombie) but with a lot of fun.

A cool scenario ,a lot of coffee and soda ,some friends for the voices = a campaign i wanted to share.

For sure ,it's for a contest ,so there's the vote factor but i'm here in first to share the result i'm proud of ,like the handmade soundtrack (surprising).






The White Silk of Thanatos

Description:
A long time ago, a thick fog descended upon Altis in a few minutes. When the fog lifted, there wasn't a living soul left on the island. It is said that in this fog hides an army of ghosts, the army of darkness. This cursed fog goes by the name of White silk of Thanatos.

You are Sergeant Mike Williams of NATO in charge of Orwell's security. A reporter came from the continent in order to collect evidences about crimes committed against civilians.
Some people believe that these are warcrimes while others fear the old Altien legend.

    I just tried this campaign, And i really like the cinematographic aspect.

    Unfortunately I cannot continue with mission M03_alpha, because as soon as the cutscene ends that shows us in the boat landing (i.e. after rearming), the game says "mission failed, orwell is dead" even before I can see me standing on the shore. I assume he is either created somewhere where he dies instantly or there is a script error that checks for the wrong variable or that variable has the wrong state. If it helps, I'm alone there and no body is visible around, at least as far as I could check in the few seconds before the mission ends.

    I hope you can get this fixed, because so far playing was really interesting and I want to know who (or what^^) is behind all this carnage.

    On a side note, I think the automatic loadout is unnecessary. If you give the player the choice to equip himself anyway, then you don't need to clutter the body with useless stuff, it's mildly annoying to wait for the script to end before I throw everything away again. But that is only a minor nuisance. You could also just place the Virtual Arsenal in the rearm house (this works: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?180487&p=2759127#post2759127 ), that would give people a few more choices, especially with weapons/equipment addons. Just an idea.

    I have really like this Campaign so far, very detailed, sets the atmosphere perfectly. Though I have to cheat now for like Brainbug said, mission failure at Day 3. But on Day 2, right after we killed the CSAT soldiers we just wonder around indefinitely.

    Edit: Day 4 I have to cheat aswell, vehicles are locked after delivering cargo, so unable to complete.

    Day 5 - Arrived at Bravo's position but nothing there and no further objectives were mentioned. Once again had to cheat.

    My 4 day mission "boat intro"'s dying decision:

    1. Download and use ACE3 mod.
    2. Addons option/Ace medic.
    3. Ace medical enable for player and AI.
    4. Player damage threshold -25.0 (max).
    5. AI damage threshold - 25.0 (max).
    6. Prevent instant death - enabled.
    7. Heal hitpoint after advbandage - enabled.
    8. Painless only supressed - disabled.
    9. Disable overdosing.
    10. Also I turn Reduced damaged enabled in Game difficulty options.
    11. Start/Restart mission (ACE3 must be working).
    12. Take at least 18 meds (yellow stuff) after briefing. They must be converted into 36 bandages and 18 morphine.
    You need at least 6 of morhpine.
    13. Go to 'assemble' point and wait for "boat cutscene".
    14. After characters disembark, they must be hurt and bleeding cause of some bug.
    15. Use bandages and morphine to heal up, then check Orwel and heal him. In ACE3 mod 3 you have 6 parts of body to care. If you wounded heavy and bleeding, you need 3 bandages for every part to stop bleeding. It could be options. Damage is not constant every time you disembark. Also use morphine to stop pain effects.
    16. When its all done, turn all options you changed (if you like) by default or change somehow you want them.
    17. Go for walkthrough.
    18. When next mission begins, you can restart arma and disable ACE3 mod. Then restart next mission.

    Sorry for my english, I hope it will help some of you. The campaign worth it.
