Hello folks, first post (couldnt see an introduction section)...

I'm pretty new to Arma, but I'm picking up the editing quite quickly imo, but, one thing has me stumped.

I'm trying to build an intro where player(squad leader) and a small team are inserted by chopper, the chopper the flys away never to be seen again. But, I can not for the life of me get it to work. I've read all the posts I can find (they all say to do it different ways, none of which seem to work for me), watched all the videos I can find and still I can not make it work. Things that have gone wrong in the process of trying;

chopper flys in, ignores the helipad and puts it down in the only patch of trees for miles around, and we all die.
chopper flys in, ignores helipad and flys off to the loiter waypoint with us still in cargo.
chopper flys in, hovers roughly over helipad, team disembark and fall to death (helipad is set to 0 elevation)
Team spawns inside chopper, player spawns in air and falls to death (yup, he was set as "in cargo").

Does anyone have an easy to follow, definitive guide on how to do what I'm asking?

if you give the AI flying the chopper a CARGO UNLOAD waypoint and place the waypoint right ontop of a helipad, the AI pilot will land ther and kick out all the guys in the back seats that aren't part of the helicopters crew. If you give them a CARGO UNLOAD waypoint but don't place it right ontop of the helipad the AI will choose its own place to land (which usually it picks a decent spot to land, but regardless the AI isn't too bright in this game)
