Ok, so I'm making a mission where you need to plant an IED and ambush a convoy. I can spawn the IED object with a small script
ied="IEDUrbanSmall_Remote_Ammo" createVehicle (getPos player);
and get it to detonate with
ied setDamage 1;

The problem arises when i want to detonate the IED. Because it isn't always placed in the same position i cant just put down a trigger with that code in the onAct. What I'm looking for is a script that will detect if any opFor unit comes within say 5 meters of the IED object

Crude but it should work


place in on act
ied="IEDUrbanSmall_Remote_Ammo" createVehicle (getPos player);
tr = createTrigger ["EmptyDetector", position player];
tr setTriggerArea [5, 5, 0, false ];
tr setTriggerActivation ["EAST", "PRESENT", true];
tr setTriggerStatements ["this", "Ied setdamage 1", ""];

it would be cool if we could set this up as a suicide bomber have that unit move to the players pos then go boom lol
