Somehow I've set Wordpad to open all .hpp files. I've gone through the control panel/default programs/set default programs to see if I could uncheck .hpp files. Windows doesn't show that Wordpad is set at the default program, but it IS.

How do I revert my .hpp files back to normal without Wordpad screwing them up? They don't even register as .hpp files anymore, the .hpp extension is missing at the end of the file. Even if I delete them unzip a new addon, all the .hpp files have the f'ing wordpad icon on them.

My other option is to "open with", the only 2 options are wordpad and notepad. I don't want EITHER.

It's your windows configuration. Nothing to do with Arma. You can choose a new editor opening hpp files. I recommend to you poseidon: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=22139 then choose it by default. It's a very powerful tool for scripting sqf and other files for Arma.
By the way, to erase default programm for automatic opening in windows, you have to delete the pertinent lines in registery. But if you're not familiar with that, i suggest you search for a windows tuorial explaining how registery entries work. see http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001348.htm or other sites.

Solved via System Restore. It's bloody ridiculous you cant simply revert to default as far as how Windows treats certain files.

I wouldn't dare start stumbling around in my Registry. While I have no doubts I could spend a few hours to learn the correct methods of editing my registry, I'd prefer not to. There's still a chance I'd screw something up and be worse off than before.

Download for example notepad ++, install it.
And after clicking on the file with the format .hpp and choose "properties"
After assigning the program to open by default
