Hello Fellas,

how does the use of different AI scripts and mods at the same time actually effect the AI?

Lets say a dedicated server is running Robalo´s ASR AI 3 mod. Now we have a usermade mission which
is spawning some AI using Bangabob´s EOS (for example) while the rest of enemy AI is controlled by
the VCOM AI script.

Is the server mod overruling mission scripts or just the AI which was placed in the editor my mission maker?

On the other side, editor placed AI should be taken care of by VCOM?!

Or lets say there is no AI mod on the server, but would the VCOM overrule EOS spawned AI or would you have to deal with two different AI behaviours?

Maybe somebody could shed some light...

It depends on couple factors like what values those addons change and how they make AI do things. Using 3 AI modifications at the same time won't make your soldier turn into terminators, instead It'll make them much more confused.

From my knowledge, ASR and VCOM should fully take over anything EOS spawns, since it doesn't do anything complicated except waypoints. So if EOS spawns a patrol group, they will probably follow their route (set by EOS) until VCOM or ASR takes over their behavior during combat.

ASR can make groups help each other, and VCOM can change what they do with available equipment in CQC. There isn't a sure way to know which one will do which until you get in to the game.

This is all I can tell, but you should ask around the BI forums too if you already heaven't. seba1976 from the Bohemia Forums AFAIK did some research with both mods pretty extensively, my experience comes solely from just using these mods.

W0lle: The only advice I can give you is: Do not try to understand BI. You will not succeed and it only makes your brain go boom. I would even go so far and say that not even they understand their own actions :-D.
