Hello,

First post here but a guest since Arma 2, thanks for all the awesome work and hopefully I managed to find the right forum section.

I have a question regarding mod managing in general and how to make sure I keep up to date with the latest releases. In the past I used PlayWithSix, and while the program is good, for me it seems to clog up my PC and it gets responsive and runs painfully slow. (not talking about the DL speed)

Now I an using the program Arma3 Sync that I found here on your site, it runs great but it obviously don't have the nice automatic updating features the PWS have. So I guess my question comes down to this: Is there a way to subscribe to some FTP link for the mods hosted on your site? So I could add them as a repository for programs like Arma 3 Sync?

And if that's not possible is there some easy way to get notifications whenever the mods I'm interested in gets updated so I know it's time to visit? =)

Oh, and if you have some other great way that I haven't thought of please enlighten me!

Thank you for the quick reply and glad to hear that the functionality is at least being looked at =)

I see that you have the RSS logo on the different pages but it takes me to a thread regarding it's removal, so I guess that was taken out? Is there a way to subscribe to the different mod-pages to get notifications on the site when something happens?

If not I will just have to bookmark all the mods I use and check then manually once in a while, not a big issue but some form of automatisation would be handy.

It is not only being looked at, except the automatic updating those features already exist. Just not to the public :-)

Since to many people within the Arma community think the Armaholic services can be abused as much as they think they should abuse it without ending I disabled access to the RSS (amongst other things).

I think I already answered that in the first post?

Ah that's awesome. Hope it will be released to the rest of us at some point, even if it's a feature for subscribers or similar. Sad to hear about the RSS feed but if it got abused it's understandable. As I said it's not a big deal, just wanted to make sure I didn't do any unnecessary work.

# Foxhound : I think I already answered that in the first post?

Just wanted to make sure that you wasn't only talking about the FTP repository and there weren't any forum thread linked to each mod that I could follow or similar.

I'll just keep checking all the mods from time to time, thank you again for the help!

I am not sure yet how I will set it up. Maybe I allow the non-subscribers different kind of subscription than the subscribers. Afterall there has to be some difference.

It will all be released to the public once the new website is used, dont ask when that will be as I am already 2 years behind schedule *ROFL*
