Hey there guys, quick question here. I've seen lots of ARMA 3 models in the unit section here. They 99% of them use that ugly built in kneepad texture from BI on from the default textures. My question is why? Is there a limiting factor in the 3d editor or is it just reskins are the quicker less work way to do it? In arma 2 mods you see kneepads regular style, built in, single kneepad, different color pads ect ect. What is the reason we cant do that here?

A) You can't edit bohemia 3d files. B) Reskinning is a lot easier than completely recreated a model. C) The 3d editor is for mission making. You can't edit 3d model files in it...

Was this different in A2? I seem to remember other types of unit uniforms both with and without kneepads. Is the non editing of models new? Also i didnt mean the 3rd editor like eden, i meant like oxygen or 3d max.

bohemias 3d models are encrypted to stop theft etc..

Some uniforms don't have kneepads, thats just the different uniform models though.
