Rip said in the BIS forum that it will be delayed a bit again unfortunately. Some key parts are still not quite finished so it had to be done.

The good news is that I (and other people working for this mod) might be able to finish some more stuff into this phase which wasn't going come out before the 2nd phase.

Yes sorry I didn't mention it here. The mod is delayed for a bit since we have so many vehicles to take care of. The map is pretty much complete.

Invasion 1944 is making vehicles and you could work with them.

mcmonkey_mac : Invasion 1944 is making vehicles and you could work with them.

Someone else said same year ago the answer was:
The Invasion 1944 aims to realism and this mod aims to fun.

EDIT:
Invasion1944 is making only German and American stuff this mod includes British too..

I was just walking around Caen and I felt like there was the same wrecked building everywhere, and the cities just don't look right, (understandable, it's a beta) so I was wondering if you could add some more detail to the cities and make some textures of the wrecked buildings for the next patch? (unless if you done that already)

bugs I've found:
- even after aplying all the patches, one of the 8,8cm Flak's crew men can not be killed
- even if you stand a mile away from the "German flak 38" when it fires, it still sounds like it was right next to you

btw, is there any improvement on the british infantry, perhaps?

Speaking of Caen ( which I'm currently working on ). Were adding a bit of detail to the city. Some fences, walls, bushes, trees, etc. It was a bit barren before. The AI had a tough go there. I'm moving around some stuff and opening it up a bit. In hopes AI can move alright. Otherwise people will have to pay closer attention to AI there. The other problems Tomahawk mentioned are fixed in the next update. Yeah that flak 38 was crazy loud.

These are pics of Caen WIP stuff:

I know what you mean about seeing the same blown out buildings. Arma can only give you so much stuff to play with. And you only have so much time to create your own. Which we have. We've made tons of custom objects.

You cannot expect quite the same accuracy for the map as for smaller maps. The map is so huge that if you want to get it this year you have to accept the less detail. Remembering that and what I have seen pics of it, I think it looks great.

Stugs: The one in the pic is the mid version StuG-IIIg. You get it in 3 versions (early, mid and late) and each has a different camo, some details and armament. There is also StuH-IIIg (StuH-42) in three versions. Finns replaced the MG-34 on top with a Russian MG, because of the abundance of the Russian ammo and the lack of it for the MG34. Finns and German had sometimes increased teh protection by adding concrete to the front upper hull and logs on the sides. What I looked on differetn photos this seem to have been relatively common at least in some units in the Eastern front. However I couldn't find any certain proof this would have been common in France. The side skirts (schurzen) use is also bit iffy. Sometimes you see them being used, sometimes not at all and sometimes half of the plates missing.

The BMW R75 bike. Tha plan is to make the 2-wheel version and also a sidecar version (maybe with a MG and one without one). I currently have bit problems understanding how the rear suspension worked (unless if it was rigid)
