to Zoom your scope you use your num pad - amd + key to change from Zoomed scope to CQB scope as some weapons have this ie the Scar H you press shift-f and to rest your weapon its shift-space. Also theres no flash light unless your using a mod that does that and if you have i suggest reading the read me or contacting the mod maker.

I'm using the 1.01 Public Beta of the ACE mod. The installation succeeded and I can use the ACE mod in both single-player and online multiplayer mode. Two missions, however, are not running. Both are new (each less than a month old, I believe) and both use the Avgani mod as well as the ACE mod. Whenever I try loading the missions, I receive the following message:

"You cannot play this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted. ACE_Cargo"

I doubt that the problem is the combination of mods since I can play another mission that uses both mods. I've tried changing the order of the mods in the load command by using this...

"arma.exe -nosplash -mod=@Avgani -mod=@ACE"

...as well as this...

"arma.exe -nosplash -mod=@ACE -mod=@Avgani"

Unfortunately, that didn't resolve the issue. I'm wondering if the mission creators used an earlier version of the ACE mod and later changes in the 1.01 version are causing the problems. Just for the record, I've searched my ArmA directory and there are no files/folders with the word "cargo" in the name...not sure if there should be but I figured I'd mention it in case it's relevant.

In any event, is anyone else having this problem? Is there a solution? Any and all constructive suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

zonker3210 :

"arma.exe -nosplash -mod=@Avgani -mod=@ACE"

...as well as this...

"arma.exe -nosplash -mod=@ACE -mod=@Avgani"

Hi mate

Your target URL is just a wee bit off, instead of creating an individual -mod= you should just make one and carry it on like with a semicolon like so:

"C:\Program Files\Atari\ArmA\arma.exe" -nosplash -mod=@ACE;@Avgani

Hope that helps your problem :D

Thanks for the helpful tip, dcb. The odd syntax is the result of my use of the "armalauncher" utility...I simply forgot the correct command syntax. In any event, I tried both this command...

"arma.exe -nosplash -mod=@Avgani;@ACE"

...and this command...

"arma.exe -nosplash -mod=@ACE;@Avgani"

...no luck. I'm still receiving a message about the ACE_Cargo content.

@Shrek: I only tried the ACE mod within the last week or so. As a result, I used the complete installation package and the file size is correct.

Just to make sure, I uninstalled ACE and performed a fresh install....again, no luck.

@dcb: as I said in my original post, the installation succeeded and I can use the ACE mod in both single-player and online multiplayer mode. However, my ArmA directory does not contain any files with "cargo" in the name. When I check the mission's pbo file, I note the following entry...

addOns[]=
{
	"ace_config_vehicle",
	"afghan_village",
	"ace_config_men",
	"datsun_armed_dbe1",
	"ace_config_weapon",
	"cawheeled",
	"ACE_Cargo",
	"ace_sys_map",
	"ace_sys_heliwind",
	"ace_sys_missiles",
	"camisc",
	"cabuildings",
	"WarfareBuildings",
	"opxbuildings",
	"opxmisc",
	"opxplants",
	"cti_buildingsm113_hq",
	"porto",
	"caweapons",
	"cadata",
	"ace_sys_huntir"
};

I can find pbo files for most of the other addons...a few aren't exact, though. For example, there's no "cabuildings.pbo" file but there is a massive "CA.pbo" file so perhaps that encompasses the cabuildings, cadata, camisc, caweapons and cawheeled entries...?

Do *you* see any files with cargo in the name under your ArmA directory?

Thanks again!

After digging through the pbo file, I've started to get a better idea of how the code works. I then checked the ACE mod team's changelog page and found the following under the 1.01 version's CHANGED category...

Removed ace_sys_cargo (Can use RKSL Cargo System etc) and ace_sys_respawn (belongs with missions) [Sickboy]

This seems to suggest that I might be correct in thinking that the mission creators used an earlier version of the ACE mod and later changes in the 1.01 version are causing the problems. If that's indeed the case, then it looks like the mission must be modified to use the RKSL Cargo System in place of the apparently defunct ACE Cargo System. In light of the fact that I know jack about ArmA mission editing, it would appear that I cannot play these missions...@#*(@&!!!

::sigh::

Oh, well...thanks for the help. I do appreciate it!

No problem, Shrek. I really do appreciate your help. Besides, the ACE mod is still a beta so such changes are to be expected. I may post something in the ACE forums about the issue but we'll see....I kinda hate having to register for yet another site. For the time being, I'll probably post something in the ACE mod's thread in the BI forums. If I can confirm that ACE mod changes caused this, then I'll alert the mission creators.

Again, thanks for the help!

Hey guys,

Just installed ACE Mod, works really good (love the Stryker MGS and TUSK Abrams)..

But anyway I realised it conflicts with SLX Mod. Saying that, anyone got any idea on how to change the movement animation of ACE Mod to the one used by SLX Mod ?

thanks..:)
