I don't understand, there is no need to copy past any files afaik. Just run the installer and point it out to ArmA directory (should find it by default). The installer even makes 2 shortcuts on the desktop, one for 1.14 and one for the new beta.

I love it its probably the best Ive seen. few bugs her and their like the animation of the men when they lay and turn and look like 2 different people.... but aside from that it truly is the best mod thus far of all the great mods for Arma. oh rofl Im sure im missing something bit cant seem to run it with coopessentials to well. havnt tried dac yet. Anyway lol its big to ask i know but anyway we can get the class names. lol thanks ACE Team trully awesome :thumb

P.S. for some reason I cant get into the other forums So if its ok may a name a bug lol. The sig9 gun for redfor after they run outa rounds I cant seem to kill them lol. Now earlier my tanks did, but not with my rifle. and this was point blank at the same time lol. and some of the figures have no blood affectssss. and yettttt this is still the greatest mod imo ever!!!!!! lol rofl Im totally geeking out I know lol

Is there now, or intent for later, a way to load incapacitated or killed soldiers into vehicles? Also - what do the IV bag, plasma bag, tourniquet, and large bandages do as I have found no application for them yet.

In addition, being relatively new to mapping/editing I was wondering if somebody could either tell me the class name for the ammo for the crew served Mk 19 & M2's or point me in the right direction of how to find them. I've tried digging through files but simply cannot come up with it.

What I'm trying to do is create my own custom weapons crate with the ACE mod crew served weapon ammunition inside. I would appreciate any help given!

Thanks for the awesome mod guys!

newbie question sorry - i have the Ace Mod folder installed - will I know that Im running ACE if I havent played much Arma b4, or duz it overwrite original files while its activated?
just want to be sure that Im seeing what Im supposed to.

in fact, I am only using the Mission Editor at the moment and Previewing the stuff Im creating - would it be running inside the editor?

thanx

I like the sounds alot, not all maybe but most fit very well. No idea about XAM though, never used it but I got rid of most other ArmA mods now and run it only with ACE. :)

@Big

Ok at the moment I am building and testing my mission - the Ace folder is in the right place so if I am testing my mission through Preview will all the tweaks that ACE brings be seen in the mission testing? like improved effects, new sounds etc etc etc?

@Lightspeed: Simply run the installer, check if he correctly finds the original location of where your ArmA is installed (normally it finds it correctly, but never know). Continue the installer and afaik it will automaticly create 2 desktop links or shortcuts. One for the 1.14 arma and one for the latest 1.15 beta patch. Use the one that fits your current pathed arma.
At load you will know if arma use ACE mod if you have a different loadscreen (no background movie + current ACE version text etc...).
Note that you can add more addons, mods in the shortcut line by adding ;yourmodfolder;yourothermodfolder etc etc...but be aware it can cause problems, especially with full mods. Also best to check if you don't run the same addons in other folders...(like matts efx mod etc).

As for the editor, if ACE is loaded, you should see all the ACE contence. Most features will run without the need of adding codes, like the sounds, imporved effects, medic stuff...

@deadeye1: The sounds are pretty good imho, but sounds are and always be a personal feeling. You like them or you don't.
In the BIS ACE forum you can find some more info about sound related question, as may already ask for this. In short, most sounds are replaced, those that aren't replaced are kept stock. There is a code you can alter, but like said, quick check the ACE topic on BIS and you will find some better info.
Not sure if the XAM question was answered there aswell. Fact is, XAM is a full 'replacement' mod so you need to watch out with that as mixing two mods is asking for conflicts.

I was wondering why the majority of my unit addons, aren't listed in the editor? Quite a few are, but a big chunk of units are missing. I can add new vehicles just fine but when it comes to units it's a no go. Some type of compatibility issue? A lot of units that are necessary for what I'm trying to do, aren't there. Any help would be appreciated.

@nightfox: You mean stock ArmA units or 3th party unit addons? If it is the last, you might want to check if your mod folder with those addons is actually loaded. Also, it might help if you can sort of list what you are missing...in case they might conflict.
Afaik, ACE didn't hide any arma contence. As for 3th party units, atm ACE doesn't have that much (original) 3th party ones and i don't know of any conflicts...(maybe conflicts with full mod units though).
