The ACE faq does mention how to do this http://dev-heaven.net/ezfaq/show/ace-mod?faq_id=17.

Rocko should have mentioned the file was ace_clientside_config.hpp, located in the Dta/ACE folder of
your ArmA game. I'll take a look at adding that detail for him in the faq when I have time.

As far as Xam - dunno, don't use that one.

Deleted the line #define ACE_OVERRIDE_BIS_SOUNDS in the ace_clientside_config.hpp and can now use third party sound mods.
Thanks for the tip and the quick reply.
Hope this helps anyone else with the same problem.

Hi,

I can't find this on the BIS forums, ACE or anywhere.. What key is used to deploy a bipod (if your gun has one?)

Also, I'd like to know the same question as Hellfire257.

I just tried shift-space, it doesn't come up with the message that it's deployed (1.08)
Maybe it only works with certain guns.

if you are laying down with any weapon it will be as stable as the game allows. however if you are leaning up against a ledge or something by crouching or standing you can rest your gun on it by hitting shift space.

(ACE version 1.09)on ArmA gold v1.15 and v1.16... no other modded content

Hey guys, for some strange reason I can't do any helicopter missions in training or campaigns. When I select the "Engine On" option from the scrolling list. For some reason the co-pilot jumps out and the game states that the "mission was a failure" due to critical damage to my rotocraft.

I can fly them fine if I select them in the "Armory," however the AI co-pilot still jumps out, because he thinks the craft is damaged...:((

The rest of the game seems to operate fine... idk :con

Choppers have a brief "out of fuel" event as they start up. Just like your car's gas gauge not reading correctly when the ignition is off. I suspect that is causing the troubles with the stock ArmA missions.

For the moment all I can recommend is not to use ACE for those mission. Which sucks, but BIS wrote those missions never expecting a mod like ACE to come out. :(

Do concider posting a ticket describing your problem on the ACE forum at dev-heaven.net. There is a chance they might find a way to work around this for you.

Ahhh crap that sucks... I love being a chopper pilot.

Is there a specific set of missions or a campaign that is meant for ACE?

I have also been having the same issues with the choppers not working properly and the gunner jumping out just as i start the mission with ACE. I'm not sure whats causing it but does anyone know how to remove the ACE heli mods only?? Like the ILS and how the pilot cant use hellfires and the HUD etc etc
