i have noticed that ACE isn't compatible with Compact Fix for arma whenever i put in the FLIR in my mods folder or AddOns the tracers dissapear and all the special things in the ACE mod like dragging bodies etc etc. =) good Job ACE but it would be nice if you could fix the Compact fix problem since the FLIR is really important to me! XD and so are the tracers and dragging bodies etc so i just use the FLIR on vanilla arma now... and when i aint using it i use ACE mod.


is there any way that the tracers could work as a standalone? since they're the best out there right now

Not sure if its appropriate to be asking this here, but a quick question (mods delete this if its not right) :p

If I were to take, lets say the "Aimpoint Desert Weapons Pack" and take the M4A1 M203, and used the ACE M4A1 Stanag Mag and ACE M203 HEAP shell, would they work? Just wondering, as I am hoping to use the ACE Mod for a mission I am working on, and I wanna know if I can use other addons without causing a conflict at the shop by having to add two different Stanag mags, two different M203 Shells, etc. ;)

For those that dont know. A.C.E Mod has released a patch in the BI forums which fixes and changes alot of things.

Does anyone know if there are any addons/ mods that are not compatable with ACE mod? Also what is the best way to run additional mod folders with ACE mod? Does the @ACE folder need to be run first or last or does it matter???

I looked on Bi forums and the ACE home site and couldnt find anyone else with my problem. When the AI shoot grenades the explosion effect is the same as vanilla arma. I tried to delete the MATH effects pbo. file and use my own MATH effects and it didnt change anything....... Just started having this problem after I got the 1.01 patch. Anybody have any ideas?


I went back and checked again, and its only the grenades. Thrown or shot. I also tried different maps and get the same result. One more thing, when vehicles are destroyed they don't burn... It seems to be just ACE vehicles though. The AA missles don't use the mando effects unless it's with ACE aircraft (I believe the explosion effect worked correctly in 1.0 though, so I hope someone else has the same problems as I do...)

I have a problem. what happen is I'm editing this mission with ACE mod and after i put the patch on is showing me this error message. " No entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgVehicles.ACE_SoldierEAAAB_IRAQ_INS'. What do i do?!!!!

Any one have any idea why "weapon rest" won't work for me? In the ace_keys file, it states; shift + spacebar for weapon rest. Others have said a notification pops up to indicate that you can or can't rest your weapon on a certain wall, car etc. When I do shift + spacebar, absolutely nothing happens. Hope some one can help me out, as this is my favorite addition to ACE.

I have the same problem nightfox. I tried cars, short walls, logs........just about everything I could think of and I couldn't get the "weapon rest" to work. I have no clue what to do either man. Just hope someone can idiot proof this patch for some of us, lol :) PLEASE HELP US!!!!!!!

Can I suggest creating a HD (High Dispersion) set of weapons for AI to use to avoid the getting shot and killed out right the moment a hostile AI sees you from 400+ meters away? Just a harmless suggestion because it did work well back in OFP.
Also I have noticed that the aimpoint and eothech optics on HK416/417 weapons appear to be dirty making it difficult to quickly and clearly enage targets. Can this be fixed in the next update please?

ACE mod is showing potential, keep up the good work :)

two things ive noticed, as vipersfang said, AI killing you from 400+ plus and also reacting to you way to fast, ive had situations where i came around a corner and 100 meters away was a AI soldier turned with his back towards me, turned around while raising his weapon and pretty much headshottet me the instant i came around the corner, also the AI seems to love grenades way to much. weve had several fire fights on afghan village and the AI would launch 203's across the map striking us, or they would throw grenades half across the map striking us, it just seems unevenly balanced. can this be fixed?

I downloaded the patch from 6th Sense, during installation when it gets to wheeled Armor, I get an error that says, "Cannot extract"

I downloaded a new copy of the patch from A.C.E. Home, during installation when it gets to Helicopter, I get the same error.

I'm currently downloading the full update of 1.01 from A.C.E. Home, hopefully this one will work, but after 3 attempts confidence is not very high, any word on whats wrong with the installer for the patch?
