Any chance you guys could make a Freighter type ship that's pilotable? with cargo hold where you can drive vehicles in? Or maybe do something similar to the RKSL Cargo (For all I know this already exists and I'm just an idiot) and have it where you load the vehicles into shipping containers and then load the shipping containers onto the ship? Either on deck and visible or below decks in a cargo hold.

thanks to foxhound and the rest of the staff at armaholic :):D
about the transport ships yes we do have a bunch in the works but we will probally go with a script to hold the vehs in place because we have not asked if we could use the RSKL cargo scrip (witch i do reccomend)and wont untill the transport ships are the main focus

one is a Oil Tanker the other is heavy lift I think called "reefers" both are merchant ships, civ side. so no not military. I doubt I will make any military ones since these types are just chartered by military forces and retain their civilian colours and crews. only actual "military" cargo and supply ships are the USNS ships with USN Officers and civilian merchant marine sailours and they are unarmoured but in battleship grey.

oh ok thats cool! in fact your right, if i remember correctly the U.S. Navy(and many others) just commandeer civilian ships...thats contracted through the department of the navy! but thats even better cause we could use them ships in a naval fleet/naval landings and civilian transport! they could also be used for a navy seal/spec-ops mission! oh and is one of them gonna be grey? just asking cause that pic above has a grey color! or is that just for testing? good luck!

one major thing is Armed Assault has no deep water ports none of the BIS islands are set up with a functional port, they just have marinas. and from info I got from Gnat that no user made islands that are binized will work for ships they will just not move under AI control. so as it stands they are kinda just floating targets unless BIS fixes the user binize issue and releases the unbinized Sahrani Island for editing. even if the ship has it's own cranes to offload containers the BIS islands "ports" are still waaaay to shallow and most are waaay to short for large ships. They a deep water harbour is 15+ meters deep so 20 meters is perfect and most need to be over 400 meters long with room at both ends to move in and out of the dock.

well im making a few very large off shore ports for a very large and detailed template for sahrani(and the other bis island)! i will eventually release it to the public..if any one wants it! but i will release a few docks/ports as standalone mission templates(that maybe edited..seeing how all the objects are in the editor)! so @calm_terror if you want a copy now for testing.. hit me up! they do not have any actions and its not an addon! but you can copy and paste them anywhere! and i will make them to you specs, and they should be good for you cargo ships!

it would be cool if some one could make it an addon so when you place it on the map, it is a single object! but there is no such thing..so this is the best i could do!
