Hi, the mission iam hoping to make is extremely ambitious, especially for someone like me who is not the expert on mission editing and scripting.

I know the bascis, i know the paradrops and bombing runs stripts, triggers ect, i know some of the more advanced scripts and techniques. By the way, anyone who wants to know how to do paradrops from helis, or a bombing run, please ask.

What i would love to have or learn how to do is listed below, and anyone who helps i would firstly like to say THANK YOU, I LOVE YOU (mean it) and secdondly, i will make sure you get credited for your imput in my hopeful mission.

Firstly:
How can you get ai units to continously respawn and then carry on their objectives. E.g if a unit had a command to attack coarzol, and it got shot down or killed. i would like that unit to respawn and then continue its attack on corazol.

Secondly: I know this is possible since its in the evolution missions.
How can you get it so that units only spawn when the enemy is nearby. E.g in Evolution the opfor only spawn in towns where blufor are. Lets say if you are in Cayo, only opfor in cayo will spawn, but units in corazo or paraiso will NOT spawn.

Thirdly:
Can i get ai units to automatically return to base to rearm, refuel and repair if they need to. E.g a jet runs out of bombs, so get him to fly to base and rearm, without having to give in-game commands. E.g a helicopter uses all its rockets, so it has to fly to a helipad or FARP to rearm...is any of this possible?

If anyone has any solutions which work, please please may you teach me how to do this or link me to a nice clear walkthrough of how to accomplish these tasks.

Also during the mission all 3 of these scripts, triggers (whatever they may be) will be working together, so make sure that they will not conflict with eachother.

REMEMBER, your imput will be credited, my aim is to entertain not to claim fame. Place your Arma name at the end of your post and ill copy it into the credits of the mission. If no name is at the bottom of the post ill use your name associated with your post (the name you use to log into your Armaholic account) which is seen on the left hand side.

My goodness, that guide is amazing, i havent had the time to read all 170 pages, but it certainly seems to cover almost everything i need to know.

Will do, however chances of me finishing it anytime soon are so slim, the amount of work i have and on top of that amount of work i need to do on this mission is...lets say alot. I have to learn everything i can about scripting, aswell as the other sides of arma's mission editor. That will take ages.

My aim is to have a lovely battle with over 500 units all fighting at the same time, including humans. However that is also limited to the pc's and sever's power, so thats why i needed the evolution scripts so that only units within areas where blufor are present spawn.

Anyway, my first really and possibly not solvable problem is the convoys. Nobody seems to have a working convoy script, though Foxhound seems to be rather close to one.

My second major problem is having ai respawn BUT continue their objectives.

Lastly my major problem will be the automated AI rearm and repair, but i believe thats possible with a few scripts merging together.
