Hi Lilxhogan :welcome to armaholic. Just to tell you right now every unit on Armaholic is compatible with SLX which is very flexible you can even go into online games and just use it client side. As for good units there are many the ones people seem to like the most though are Johnny's US marines, 1st Infantry Division soldiers and there are plenty more in the unit archive :thumb

All pity choked with custom of fell deeds: And Caesar's spirit, ranging for revenge, With Ate by his side come hot from hell,
Shall in these confines with a monarch's voice Cry 'Havoc,' and let slip the dogs of war; That this foul deed shall smell above the earth With carrion men, groaning for burial.

I wonder if it is possible to use A.C.E. with XAM correctly (right now I loose many of A.C.E. effects:() because I like both mods.

Ace isnt the bee all and end all. What mod you should download depends what you want in the game. If you want realism to rediculas levels, then get Ace, if you want a sound mod get HiFi, if you want a perticular country then download their mod (tho those mods will work with all other mods except Ace unless they make it Ace compatible).

In the end, your going to have to look through and decide what YOU want in the game, not what everyone else enjoys :)

I'm sort of with Rico on this. If you want ultra realism, then ACE is pretty good. If you want a little bit of fun, I say the way forward is to choose a mission you like and install the required addons. Usually Extended Event Handlers is a good starting point. It doesn't noticably add anything to the game, but its 'under-the-bonnet' functionality is not to be sniffed at.

What does it add to the game by default? As far as I know nothing. All it does is adds the possiblity for custom addons to have eventhandler functionality without them conflicting with eachoter (which it does when your custom addons are not made extended eventhandler complient).

Or, did I miss something there?

No, that's my point. It doesn't add anything as far as the user can see, but it adds functionality that almost every current addon needs. As such, it's essential.

I just wanted to say that I really like the ECS mod right just because the AI can do more things but I'm always open to try new mods.

It should say whether the tank is for ArmA or ArmA 2 someone in the download section. Alot of times you can tell by simply looking at the screenshot because the graphics of the two games differ greatly (one being more better looking than the other) and to get it to work, you could either use the modfolder method or you can simply dump all the files into your addons folder in your main arma folder although i seriously recommend the mod folder.
