Hello everybody, I bought the German version of ArmA2 and I have several concerns with the requirements of the game:

1 - I tried the game on very high, high and medium and I could only play smoothly on medium, using distance vision between 2000-6000 meters. My question is whether this is normal having a pc with these characteristics:

QuadCore Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, 2400 MHz
2048 MB RAM (DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM)
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS (384 MB) (latest drivers)
Resolution: 1440X900
Windows XP 32bit SP3
ArmA2 1.01

2 - Another question would be the multiplayer, I play with some friends to ArmA1 (LAN) using Hamachi and works perfectly (ping 54-96ms), but when I try to ArmA2 playing so slow and disconnects from the server few minutes to start the game.Can be due to the graphics card?(My friends have a pc like mine).

If you can play smoothly in medium settings all seems good, the 8800 GS is probably holding you back.

Thanks for your answer, is it possible that the card is the problem with the multiplayer mode?

In response to your card.

The 8800GS will be holding your system back from reaching a higher playable setting. It will not be effecting multi player.

As for using ArmA II in LAN, are you physically connected in the same location or are you using Hamachi to simulate a LAN session?

I agree, the 8800 is a tad "weak". Would go up to a 9800GTX at least. I love mine.

I'm using LAN through Hamachi, I guess that the card is already a little outdated so you begin to look for a new one. Greetings

will my GeForce 9800 GT be fine for arma 2 ?? :)

or should i buy a new one
