play with the numbers and you will need to make trigger rdio maybe for now. detach nameofplane

by weekend next i will have new one where plane can be attached with actions.

Now if we only had LCACs (landing craft air cushioned, aka hovercraft) to be able to launch with Abrams and whatever else we wanted on them then we could have a fully armed and operation LHD!

Keep up the good work, this one script seems to be able to do a ton.

I'm sorry i try to but it didn't work :( I don't understand. Is that the good init code for Arma 2 ?

i put that :

helico1 attachto [porte1[-12,0,15.4]]

Where helico1 is the chopper and porte1 the LHD.

It says me that a ] is missing....

For attaching a harrier or JSF to the steerable LHD I'm using the following numbers

_plane attachto [LHD,[-10,-100,21]]

And for making the AI take off I'm using this

detach _plane; _plane setvelocity [120 * sin (getdir _plane),120 * cos (getdir _plane),5]

You can put this in a trigger or a waypoint and the JSF will take off by itself

Hope this helps. I will try to set all these parameters in an script so you only have to call them via the script.

Alternatively you can use mando land

glad to see your having fun with this, i am very sorry that i dont have time to support it right now .
here is the mlod , if anybody wants to improve it and its open to greater improvement as this was more of a quick test in earl A2. then pls download the mlod below

it really needs someone to spend time to make memory points in the memmory lod and name them this way you can add attachto [ship,[x,y,z]"nameofenewpoint] .
then a useraction in the config.cpp to detach or attach.

Sadly i'm not experienced at least for doing what you are saying :) at same time i noticed that there is some "placement" errors in the model, but i can't understand what part is what in the script where you attach parts, the main cabin of the LHD is a bit strecthed leaving some space on the back of it, it's noticeable from the main door that is like "cutted" of 1 meter or so, btw going around the ship is noticeable.

I have made a pretty nice editing of the usual Domination Ai for using the LHD as main base, but i use a static model of it, i would like to make a version that is usable easily in every mission with a standard setup of plane and vehicles in the bay attached to it, where 1 player act as the LHD Commander and just order to the "pilot" of the LHD to move where he wants, i tryed this approach and work but sadly i'm not experienced at least for making the scripts for the attachment etc... my idea was to detach the vehicles as soon as a DRIVER enter them, and when the driver exit the vehicle get attached again at current position...

I have a lot of ideas for all this thing but sadly i can't do it myself since i'm not good ^^

or if you want it to point a certain way that is defined by the way the ship is pointing

_shipdir = GetDir ship;
_x SetDir _shipdir + number;

Sorry about this but im new at arma 2 i only got it yesterday and im very confused about all the numbers and attachto. Is there any way you could make a video on youtube showing how to add the add planes onto the LHD or could you explain it better to me please sorry for bothering u but im very confused thxs

Amen to that!
It occurred to me years ago that the Amphibious Assault Ship would make a Great addon for ArmA - The Wasp class can take almost 2,000 marines, Attack choppers, VTOL craft, Transport choppers (Including the sea-knight, which I'd love to see as an addon), plus of course the hovercraft, capable of landing 24 troops or 1 MBT (it can carry up to 60 tons).

Add the function of the LCAC, plus perhaps, the ability to spawn marines into it or the transport choppers every time they land, and you've got yourself a realistic modern invasion force. Great start to a great addon!

You cannot always choose how or when you will die, but at least you can choose how to live.

Hi, hopping someone kan help.

Ive shared a mission with a friend of mine. The only addon required is LHD steerable, and is the only addon that we both have. The problem consist in that my friends get this error trying to start the mission:

You cannot play/edit this mission: it is dependent on downloadble content that has been deleted.dbo_Water

anybody...?

THANX
