what is the lost key?
if you don't know you most likely don't need it.

it is a stress testing tool for mission makers.

features include.. but not limited to:

*only works in SP and local if you are the host... NO MP!!
AuraVision
Ghost Mode
God Mode
Unlimited ammo
the ability to spawn anything in your addons...
teleport
h.a.l.o.
full music player with custom music
hitch anything

oh.. did i mention the entire arsenal of artillery?

just to mention a few of the options for making missions right the 1st time.
or leveling a town cuz you're bored.

@everyone the lost key is pretty much finished. 2 real problems is suppose.

1. needs XEH
2. needs gigan camera (optional).

both have yet to be redone and released for arma2 by their respective authors. and since i do not have permission to release them. i can not.

the end user will have to open these .pbo's and change the required version # and repack them.

This key is the most used addon that I have. I don't play much mulitplayer anymore but I do lots of beta testing and have found that Loki's Lost Key was priceless when attempting to get through a mission that was poorly and quickly made without much thought. For all of you guys doing your own mission editing or beta testing for others..this key will be your best friend.
Some of the most used features in the original Lost Key by me are...
unlimited ammo
invincibility
teleportation
calling artillery, carpet bombs, precision bombs, leveling entire cities
spawning empty or occupied vehicles, weapon/ammo crates
setting your self captive or not
adjusting the viewdistance
increasing your body armor (if you prefer not to be invincible)
and much, much more.

All of these features allow the tester or builder to concentrate on what's most important during the test without having to worry about survival. And it also allows you to bring the wrath of God when you get so frustrated at a poorly made mission that you just want to reach through and smack the author in the head for releasing something half done. (Well, at the least, it satisfies you enough to prevent you from damaging your own monitor)
Great to see you porting this valuable tool Loki. It will most sertainly be my first download when I get the game.

The Extended eventhandlers need to be updated for ArmA2 and since this is not done yet (officialy as far as I know), how can people use Lost Key in ArmA2?
I will wait with the news post until I hear about this ;)

do like the rest of us and unpack the XEH and change the version number to 1.0 and repack it.:)

but good news.. XEH and a new community core will be out soon.. i hear.

edit:

someone try this on arma 1 please.. don't have mine installed anymore. i bet it works and is much better unit than the A1 lost key.
