Hi all,

I am trying to create a mission where a unit throws a grenade when he is detected by a teammate - i.e. he is a downed pilot and I want him to signal his location. I have got the unit to throw a grenade, only as he is BLUFOR he is triggering the event himself.
Is there an initialisation step that I am missing, such as a activate when BLUFOR trigger the event but NOT unit name (Pilot).

My friend and I used to love the "Pilot down" mission in ARMA and we are trying to recreate this in ARMA 2.

No idea, but did you try opening the "Pilot Down" mission you are talking about to see how it's done there?

You could always use a distance check to the player from the pilot.
Something like (I am out of mission editing so my context wont be right I fear):
{_x distance pilot < 100} foreach mynunits
Where myunits is your player group which you should create as well using the group command.
