It is not in a Bohemia file. Barney style: Open My Computer, open C drive, you want program files (x86), steam, steamapps, common, arma2. Just put your @mod folder(s) in the arma2 folder you now have open. copy your @mod folder and put it in arma2 operation arrowhead folder as well. the oa folder will be just under the arma2 folder in 'common folder'. the then do the launch parameter kaptainkrud posted above for oa. Just a note, i have arma 2, oa (combined ops), baf, and pmc. i only open my game with oa co. this is what you should link the launch parameters to. hope this helps.

No, you should never add to or alter the default program content of the AddOns or Expansion/AddOns subdirs -for this or any other type of media- as it only leads to headaches later on.

Is there a particular area of the above posted user instructions that you are running into problems with?

My shortcut for ARMA 2:

Target: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2\arma2oa.exe" -window -nosplash -noPause -cpuCount=4 -maxMem=2047 -exThreads=7 -mod=PMC;BAF;@eliassound2OA"

Start in: "c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\arma 2"

if you are not sure of the system specs and want to run full screen try the target line - "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2\arma2oa.exe" -mod=@*yourmod*"

I'm running Window 7 64 bit so if your running 32bit OS the target line will look like this - "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2\arma2oa.exe" -mod=PMC;BAF;@*yourmod*"

and the Start in: "c:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\arma 2"

Does anyone know if it's possible to use a mod manager with the Steam version?
I am planning to buy Arma 2 but I want to know if this works before buying it on Steam.

Yes and No. I tried it with Alpinestars ARMA II Launcher.

It give me one or two error messages but it didn't seem to cause me any visible issues. However I did get errors saying that I wasn't running combined ops, but I think that is down to that I'm running the combined ops versions of the ACE mod.

I think you can add ARMA 2 as a mod and launch it as one, to force it to run combined ops. If you are just getting ARMA 2 standalone then it should be fine.

Alternatively you can just right click the game under you game library, click properties, then under general click set launch options. You can then put any of ARMA's start-up parameters into e.g.

-mod=@CBA;@ACE;@ACEX;@ACEX_USNavy;@ACEX_RU;@ACEX_SM -nosplash -world=empty

You can also use the sixupdater, that works pretty well with steam.

Ok thanks,
I think I'll go with the steam version and use it with sixupdater. I plan on using ACE so I was probably going to use that anyway.

Even using Steam using a launcher is advised. Also remember if you're using Steam + Six Updater you need to manually start ArmA2 and OA on their own first so that SU knows where they are.

Hello, I need help, I have installed Arma2 OA betas by STEAM at: C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ SteamApps \ common, but I need to install the addons to another disk by having insufficient space.

Test1: ORIGINS @ DayzOrigins DAYZ, Steam Option OA Beta release:

1.1-D: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ SteamApps \ common \ ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead-mod = @ DayzOrigins-nosplash -> does not work putting the folder D: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ SteamApps \ common \ ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead, read the mod @ DayzOrigins, expansion, but Arma2 beta (A2 CO), only OA and Origins mod does not start, stays on the screen as activated if the expansion window.

1.2--mod = @ DayzOrigins-nosplash -> does not work putting the folder D: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ SteamApps \ common \ ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead, read the mod @ DayzOrigins, Expansion, Arma2 beta but not (A2 CO), only OA and Origins mod does not start, stays on the screen as activated if the expansion window.

Other options:

1.3--mod = @ DayzOrigins-nosplash -> To test @ DayzOrigins putting the folder in: C: \ Users \ Alexandre \ Documents \ ArmA 2 -> works

1.4--mod = @ DayzOrigins-nosplash -> To try putting the folder: D: \ Users \ alex \ documents \ ArmA 2 -> not working

1.5--mod = @ DayzOrigins-nosplash -> To try putting the folder @ DayzOrigins in: D: \ Users \ Alexandre \ Documents \ ArmA 2 -> not working

1.6-D: \ Users \ alex \ documents \ ArmA 2-mod = @ DayzOrigins-nosplash -> To try putting the folder: D: \ Users \ alex \ documents \ ArmA 2 -> not working

1.7-D: \ Users \ Alexandre \ Documents \ ArmA 2-mod = @ DayzOrigins-nosplash -> To try putting the folder @ DayzOrigins in: D: \ Users \ Alexandre \ Documents \ ArmA 2 -> No

Works

Sorry for my poor English, Many Thanks
