I know this is a very common topic now, but i have read all the documentation and topics that i can find but they all rely on the player and secops to cause an artillery strike.

How would i make the AI target a specific target and fire at it when i activate a trigger?

I think if you aproach this from a different angle you will have better success. The artillery module is great for live players. It allows control of the Arty and proper radio feedback, which makes it a grerat module to work with. However using it for A.I just isn't necessary. If you want AI simulated arti a simple way would be to set up a trigger and just have a series of explosions in the area you want. There is no need for all the controls and radio stuff if the AI is going to be the ones using it. There is a script on here called bomb.sqs. Have a look at that to get the basic idea of how it would be done.

Thanks for the reply,

however it's not the explosions I'm after, I'm after the effect of the enemy artillery firing into the air rather than seeing them destroy things.

Oh. Isn't there like a doFire command?

I will figure this out and try to get back to you later today.

Okay, it seems the doFire didnt work but I did get this sorted out. For simplicity I just put an MLRS named art1 a civilian car named car1 and 2 switches. Switch 1 Radio Alpha - art1 doTarget car1. Switch 2 - art1 fire "MLRS". It worked perfectly. Replace "MLRS" with "GRAD" for the russion mobile artillery. I am sure you will want to put this into a script and all, and prolly want to have the arty angle set to something so it is pointing up, but that is another problem. If I work all this out myself I will post the script here.
