Hi there iam new just started to play arma II for 8 days now and iam using Editor mode only because i love to make my own scenarios, and ive been looking al over internet for IED scripting but i cant find it can some one help me please how it works with triggers on cars/men/armor/object etc? for the IED

there is an IED script for arma1, you could see if that works?

ive tryed cant et it to work and i dont know ow to use it btw tryed some things but tere is no explenation with the IEDscrips!

i asked on youtube and this is what i got last night

haha i was on OFPEC last night and came across your post, take it u finally got the IED working. For anyone intrested in making an IED in ARMA/ARMA2 put this in a triggers on activation line

bomb="Bo_GBU12_lgb" createVehicle (getPosIED)
Where IED is named u can create a different name e.g. (getPosCar) or whatever, then place a car or gamelogic and name it IED or car, then set the trigger activated by BLUFOR present and mess with the radius untill u find the perfect radius u want. Enjoy!!

but did tis made a trigger with. bomb="Bo_GBU12_lgb" createVehicle (getPosIED)
and made a vehicle and named it IED, set trigger on blufor !? syncronised and tryed and wont work :S

bomb="Bo_GBU12_lgb" createVehicle (getPosIED)
should be:
bomb="Bo_GBU12_lgb" createVehicle (getPos IED)
Just tried it and it works.

Hi

I believe the IED script mentioned earlier is the IED Improvised Explosive Device Script v1.2 by Jeevz found here.This contains four sizes of explosions. Also this this can be used on any object or person.

A forum topic found here should be a good read on how to use it.

Stepp 1:
Wrigt this in you triggers init(works without aditional addons): _bomb = "Bo_Mk82" createVehicle getPos name
("name" what ever you whant to call the thing/unit that will explode)
If you whant to adjust the sise of the explotion you just change the kind of bomb you whant ( "Bo_Mk82" ), you have to find out what kind of different bombs and what there kode is.

Stepp 2:
Name a unit with the name you put in the triggers init.

Stepp 3:
Whenever you have sett your trigger to activate the unit/object will explode.

You can sett Units, vehicles and even triggers to explode. Havent tried animals butt might work :D

but it seems arma 2 thinks that the IED muzzle is not a "Bomb" because it doesn't go off
how to correct this?

Use: bomb="R_57mm_HE" createVehicle (getPos IED)

Hey guys when I give in trigger this script bomb="Bo_GBU12_lgb" createVehicle (getPos IED) and I put into this trigger humwee with name IED It´s not just one explosion but many and many and many and I dont know why ... :( Can someone explain to me how I can do just one explosion thx .

This is quite a while ago, however assuming you haven't been able to do it yet, i'd guess your problem is you set your trigger to REPEATEDLY.
