Darn. Not before 2010. Oh well. For me its good and bad. I want them to taker a long time so its perfect and has loads of new content and features and so I can fully experience Chernarus. Then the bad thing is I'd love for it to be released sooner. Oh well. Dont care when its out, as long as its awesome!

The good, Bad and ugly. BIS seems to have a stratgy of lets build it, the community will fix it. They have a great sim out there VBS2. expensive as it may be. so to me they take parts of it to release for us common folks. since the 1.04 patch, the game has become more playable. i am looking fore ward to the next development of operation arrowhead. i am looking fore ward also to the development of arma 2. the community is actually the deveopler not BIS - they just proved the canvess. the modders like ACE, PMC, and others not to leave any out, are the real back bone of the arma series.

One of these Day's Alice!!!! Pow right in the old kisser!!!!1

It looks great, but it will be an expansion like "Queen's gambit" of ArmA or a total stand alone game? So I will have to buy it full or there will be an expansion for my actual ArmA2 too?

If you would have read only just a little you would have found yourself this is a standalone expansion. You do not even need ArmA2. But, having ArmA2 will give you some extra stuff.

My feeling when I look at the SS is its a new engine in which the objects and weapons and vcl form Arma2 are compatible. But to me it looks like a new engine definitely.

Probably more like take what's in A2 and put it into the super expensive simulator VBS2 after the community tests it. I wonder if VBS2 has A2 type problems.

And I wonder why you guys are discussing VBS2 in this topic. No need, no room and unwanted.
You can discuss VBS2 in the VBS2 topic.

One thing Im confused about is the Dynamic Town Creator.
Does that mean every time I load up the map, it will be totally different?? If so, Im not that happy about that.
I would like to see it as more of a Module or something.

I haven't read any information on the dynamic town creator. I expect you have a choice to use the module or not anyway? I'm guessing that map objects will be fixed or variable depending on the module settings. Or, spawn a town with the given parameters within the module.

Dynamic Town Creator...the cynical would surmise that they must have thought this one up to highlight the engines current problems with (AI) pathfinding, and then take it the the tenth power.;)
____
It'll be interesting to see how this is implemented and if it works out.
