Isla Duala: Island divided into two waring countries

Isla Duala is bigger than Panthera, around 56km2 of mainly desert, savannah and jungle areas. Its very similiar to OFP's Tonal regarding the vegetation and setup. Old Tonal users will find themselves in familiar areas, but of course layout will be different and objects up to date with current technology

Isla Duala will be primarily intended for:
- anti-terrorist coop operations when you have one active FOB
- brand new TvT gamemode where two leaders have to take care of their country (North or South) and both can declare war or peace. Your platoons have to patrol border and report back if enemy is gathering troops in certain sector so leader can send in reinforcements. Although 56km2 sounds small at least 50 players would be needed for that kind of TvT mission Side wins when they control enemy's Capitol Town and have in control theirs.
- typical Domination/Warfare scenario

Re-did the textures and Berghoff is assisting with his superb authentic vegetation:

The island looks wonderful. The demilitarized zone will be really cool if you guys add some destroyed vehicles as well as a bombed out town (which I am guessing you already have). Keep up the amazing work.

By the way, isn't this for ArmA 2 (based on screenshots)? Why is it in the ArmA section?

:cheers

Carillo-"See what?"
Armstrong-"Something's burning over there, see the smoke?"
Carillo-"That's not smoke it's dust!"
Armstrong-"Dust? i don't get it."

Yes, its from Arma2 only. I would ask mod to please move the topic to A2 folder.

One more WIP shot (final satimage will be 20-25% better than this one):

Praise the lord! I thought thus project was dead and that I'd have to wait for someone else to make a African-themed map!

I agree, you should put a town in the middle of the cease fire, all bombed out and stuff :D

Fubbles: I'll leave "bombing out" border villages to players from both sides ;)

There are couple of new shots in "Official" topic:

The new screens look great. Keep working hard.

I just have one request. It would be nice if there were a lot of enterable buildings, because it makes it so much more fun to be taking cover in a building.

Armstrong-"Hey Carillo, do you see that?"
Carillo-"See what?"
Armstrong-"Something's burning over there, see the smoke?"
Carillo-"That's not smoke it's dust!"
Armstrong-"Dust? i don't get it."

new screens look amazing, cant wait for the release and cant wait to get in some games on this map ;) sounds like a new scenario, drifting away from russians and haji's... sounds sweet looks hot ;)

EDIT: what would be sweet if you would make it like they have the DMZ in korea, with the little conference buildings DIRECTLY on the border. im talking about a stare off of north and south koreans from border to border

the grey building in the backround is north korea, picture is taken from south korea (obviously) and the blue buildings are conference rooms for north and south korea. it would def add to the feel and would make it sweet for north south relations on the TVT matches ;)
