Hey everybody,

I downloaded DanL2mx's US Navy Seals to use.

I made the modfolder: @Navy_Seals>Addons

I then unzipped the files and put the USSOF_US_Navy_SEALs.pbo and the bisign file (not the 5 screenshots or readme) into the Addons folder. Those 2 are the only ones in the Addons folder.

Then in the target I have this written:
"C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2.exe" -mod=@Briefing_Manager;@Navy_Seals

However, when I load the game I can't find them (it says they should be under Blufor>USSOF faction but they aren't).

Any help is greatly appreciated.

:cheers

Well it may only be that you put the "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2.exe" -mod=@Briefing_Manager -mod=@Navy_Seals where it should be "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2.exe" -mod=@Briefing_Manager;@Navy_Seals
just put a ; to use differeny mods

Thanks karnax, I tried that but it still doesn't show up. I don't know what the problem is.

Does anyone actually have these and are able to get them to work. I still can't. I am going to download them again.

Edit: Still doesn't work. this is what the readme says;
Usage:
------

You'll find the units on the BLUFOR side under the USSOF faction.

You can choose a group under the BLUFOR side, USSOF faction, Infantry Section, SEALs Team.

Contents:
---------

This archive includes the following files:

- Readme.txt
- USSOF_US_Navy_SEALs.pbo
- USSOF_US_Navy_SEALs.pbo.DanL2.bisign
- Several screenshots.

Installation:
-------------

Simply place the USSOF_US_Navy_SEALs.pbo and USSOF_US_Navy_SEALs.pbo.DanL2.bisign files inside your Arma 2 Addons folder
or use the modfolder method (recommended).

Just tried this, installed it as you described and all works in the sense of the units show up in the editor under that class.
However, it shows an error when navigating to that faction.

Ok, so you were actually able to find them under the USSOF faction just in the editor. (under blufor).

Edit: I have to leave now, but if you could describe exactly how you found and used them please do.

Yes, exactly there.

I did all steps as you listed them in the first post. For me they show and work, except for that config error poping up.

Reading through the readme I do everything as he says but I still can't find them nor get the error. I am running 1.02.58134 because of all the negatives of newer patches but this what it says:

Required version:
-----------------

ARMA II Patch 1.02

Required addons:
-----------------

None

I can't figure it out to save my life.:dumb

Well, I have no idea why it does not work for you. I assume I get the error since I am patched up to 1.04 and use the latest beta as well.

Just to be sure:
I made the modfolder: @Navy_Seals>Addons

I assume with the above you mean you made a folder called "Addons" inside a folder called "@Navy_Seals" right?

Yep, addons is inside the @Navy_Seals just like the faq said.

Maybe I should patch up and see if that helps
If it doesn't I'll download the black ops and desert mercs because that addon has just about everything.

Edit: I don't have to do anything diff. w/infantry mods do I. Nothing but putting the pbos in the folder?

Well I am still stuck with not being able ot find the units under the faction.

Would there be any reason for my computer not recongnizing pbo files? I don't think there would be.

Help is greatly, greatly appreciated.

Well now I am having the exact same problem with the Desert Mercenaries and Black Ops addon. I followed all the steps: @Mercs then Addons then put the .pbo and bisign file inside the Addons.

Why can't I find them in the editor? Does my computer not recongnize the files?

Edit: I had to delete that last post because I tried to post my screenshot but accidentally did it the wrong way. Sorry, should have it up in a few minutes.

I think its time for you to make screenshots of every step you take and post them here.
All addons you have troubles with work for everyone, except you.
So, you must be doing something wrong but I have no idea what cause you describe every step correct as far as I can tell.

Only thing I can think of right now is that you maybe have 2 installs of ArmA 2? A new one which you use and is located on the C: drive and maybe another install where you are adding the downloaded files to but is not the one which you are using (like a leftover from an old install?)

I think that it is a problem with Vista. Somehow it is not reading those files (maybe like you thought). I will try to sort it out with my dad and one of his friends that knows alot about this kinda stuff.

Thanks for all your help.

I won't bother you anymore.
