Great stuff Charon! Thanks for working so hard and letting others like me get loads of enjoyment from your efforts. Bravo!
I'm fairly new to all this editor stuff, and trying to find info can be difficult as most folk on these forums seem to be fairly advanced in their use of it. I have a few very basic usage questions if anyone has the time...sorry
-I'm presuming the zombie module and the infected module are pretty much the same apart from the speed of the creatures produced?
-If I just place these on a map in the editor will they will spawn undead indefinately, or do I need to place enough civilians for them to infect? Is the zombie count dependent on the food count?
-Do non infected characters only become zombies after having been killed by a zombie/infected character, or is it like an airbourne virus?
-What would be a simple starting point in the editor for a clueless person like me to have fun with this?
I have downloaded the new version of the missions without the addon requirement, so I can have a look at those this weekend which should help me a bit. Cheers,
Please look into the demo missions in part3 of the download. All you need to know is in there.
Place a module and minimum one zed and food for him. That`s it
Hey Charon Productions I was redirected here for help with the Spawn Module(Sorry again Foxhound), was wondering if you could take a look. My main goal is to activate the zombie spawn when a BLUFOR enters a perimeter(activating a trigger). Basically turn a spawn on when someone enters the area, and I'll turn it off when they pass a point. Btw, I thank you so much for investing your time into this mod, truly amazing, simply amazing, amazing amazing.
I have A Spawn Module from The Undead Mod and I have it set to:
this setvariable ["CHN_UNDEAD_SM_GRPTYPE","MOVER",true];
this setvariable ["CHN_UNDEAD_SM_WPPOS",position ZedWP1,true];
this setvariable ["CHN_UNDEAD_SM_INTERVAL",60,true];
this setvariable ["CHN_UNDEAD_SM_NUMBER",1,true];
spawn1 setvariable ["CHN_UNDEAD_SM_ACTIVE",false,true];
Conditions of Presence: false
And through a trigger BLUFOR present set the spawn module true.
I have another question : As i dont get a clue to the editor (even if i point the zombie module, a bunch of zombie and the "friendly" stuff to nobody for Indepedents, the zombies just stay there standing, not moving, never do ; Could someone make like a very basic mission (like just a horde of zombie attacking the player) and upload it so that i understand how it works better ? That would save my life ! Thanks in advance !
I have downloaded the Mod, but the infected and zombies both dont seem to attack anything, even after I have set the independent side to friendly to no one. Is there any reason they would not attack anyone?
This may be a stupid question and it doesn't really look like it's going to get answered because this is kind of an old thread, but I was wondering if anyone was having this problem and if they knew how to fix it.
If I have the infected module ANYWHERE on the map all my "undead spawn modules" only spawn infected, (even if I have them set up to spawn regular ((slow)) Zombies.)
I have been working on a mission but When I started to add infected spawns all my regular zombies became infected as well
This mod, however, has been exactly what I have always hoped for in a zombie game...just big open zombie sand-box, well-fucking-done! : D
I have a problem to post if this thread is even being watched anymore.
I'm trying to make kind of an "open world" with zombies, but whenever I put zombies on the map, they start walking towards random locations or close enemies. Also, when my friend and I were Independent, he started hitting me like a zombie whenver he got close to me, damaging and infecting both of us. And, independent don't shoot at zombies. And whenever I try to fix the problem with zombies walking aimlessly by placing waypoints, they stop caring about people and focus only on the waypoint. They don't attack people who come close and they only walk to their set location and then can't walk anymore.
