The Iranians should absolutely be Independent and not Opfor

go independant gives more leway for mission makers, will send you fixed bits for the vehicle you sent to me tonight...

I?m very interested in this mod but please think about the possibility to insert it ingame as Indipendent, and not a OPFOR like i suppose you did.

It would be nice to have more factions available to be fielded against more than the commons...

Hi guys, I'm koroush47 from the project reality mod website and I am the lead developer on the Iranian faction for BF2.

I'm here to offer any assistance if you guys need it, I also play arma on my free time so I'd love to see this faction go up.
If you need any information I've done extensive research with real Iranian army members and gathered info on Iranian military forums.

I however, also need help. I'm having trouble finding Iranians to help me create voice chat sound clips which are essential to BF2 mod development. If anybody here can speak Farsi, or knows anybody who can I urge you to please offer your assistance to us. It is very important that we get these voices. Thank you.

BIS T34 will represent the ageing Iranian M47 Patton Tank.

Iran uses T72s.

Yes I know that Iran has T-72S and T-72M1, they also have a range of older type tanks in large numbers, one of which is the M47 Patton and M48 Patton, aswell as the M60A1.

(Former) Iranian citizen here, and they should have lighter skin and moore hair. Cant wait for the Patton, one of my favorite tanks. I know it's outdated, but i think you should include the F-86 Sabre , and maybe have a VIP class, including generals, politicians and "journalists"(Or what our government says are journalists). edit: And they could use the Dassault Falcon 20

If you had read the above posts you would have seen that there isn't an actual Patton tank. It's a reskinned T34 meant to "represent" the Patton.

Needs some work yet, imho. Mr. Mahmud A. has slightly lighter skin, a thinner and partially (on the cheeks) grey beard, a more angular face (nose, chin) and a quite sharp and distinctive hairline. Apart from that, I've never ever seen him wearing a tie.

Having a VIP skin is always good though. Doing some uniformed high brass maybe worth it, too.

PS: The characters need more hair. Lots of it.
