Quote ArmA2.com:
The British Armed Forces contingent in Takistan comprises of several regiments involved in the counter-insurgency campaign. British paratroopers and the mechanized regiments are supporting the stabilization efforts across the land together with several other allied armies of NATO.
- The soldiers of the BAF are well trained professionals motivated to fight the insurgent forces in the Takistani mountains. After taking part in the initial attack of Takistan, many troops were left to help a new Takistani army in its task to keep the reborn Takistan secure and safe.
- Soldiers wear either newly introduced Multi-Terrain Pattern uniforms designed for Takistani-like environments, or the desert DPM smocks suitable for the arid areas.
- Infantrymen are armed with the L85A2 assault rifles, machineguns (L86A2 Light Support Weapon, L110A1, GPMG) and sniper rifles (L115A1 Long Range Rifle, AS50).
- BAF troops are deployed in mechanized or motorized formations equipped by the modernized Warrior fighting vehicles and Jackal 2 MWMIK armored trucks. maybe they can later release something for free to help the Takistan forces cuz they have no chance?
I'm still in two minds about this.
While I may not skip it, it looks like it may be more Queen's Gambit than Operation Arrowhead, and the new UKF weapons release is really so good. The Jackal looks like a nice model, mind.
A small task force with light armor and the full range of helicopters?
Well, these are supposed to represent a small task force not a full army.
No Challenger 2 tank seems like a bit of an oversight.
@Markus/Alex72: It looks like you can also pay with Paypal, so you don't need a credit card, just a normal bank account.
And if all fails, just steal it from some dubious download page and then send a envelope with a 10€ note into a certain small village some 30km south of Prague, or saddle your horse and bring them a keg of self-made sausages. ;)
cool stuff, i wish bis would sent me one for free
More info on the "engine upgrades" please.
@Markus: You can always ask someone you know with a VISA for example to buy it and give him/her the money. I cant shop online myself atm so i understand you. Bit of a hassle.
Edit: Nevermind.
this dlc remind me queen's gambit the fail espansion for arma 1.arma 2 was not so bad...OA is the real step forward on BIS game with very nice features...but a2 BAF?9 euro for a couple of addons?mmm
why didn't they just add this to OA and charge $50?
@Markus, from what I have read and seen they will not. It will be online excluesive. DLC means downloadable content, not buyable in stores.
I think they should release it as a pack which you can buy in shops, I don't have any way of buying online and I really want this pack when it comes out, do you think they will release it as an addon in shops?
I......WANT.........IT. NOW!!!!!!!!! please
