too shame about that bolt thing... but still, damn baby's sexy when it moves!
One more thing about ballistics. I'm not sure if the L115 series are configured to accept SS rounds? As far as I know Accuracy International did make a suppressed version of their AW rifles that fire subsonic rounds. Anyway... the point I'm trying to bring out is that there doesn't seem to be any notable ballistic differences between the suppressed and non-suppressed variants in your rendition of the rifles? I can't get my hands on the performance of .338 rounds but I think suppressors this big do reduce the muzzle velocity and hence the range of the rifle? What I've been doing though, is to fire a suppressed rifle at targets 1400m away at least and still get a hit from it?
The bolt anim is tied to the 'reload' source that occurs whenever the weapon is fired and chambers another round - I don't think it's possible to override this without making the weapon use single shot magazines. The bolt-sound is also tied to the reload source and I'm not sure that it's possible to add sounds to user sources so that the sound would sync with another method of manually animating the bolt.
I am planning on doing an OA version of the L115 with thermal imaging maps, and versions of the rifle with a SniperKITE NV scope and sVIPIR TI scope mounted on a picatinny rail in front of the weapon, but I've got a number of other projects that require my attention before I can start on those models.
didn't mean to be fastidious or anything but is there any possibility of a future release where the bolt control is manual? I know this is not native to the Arma engine but having seen Brit snipers on discovery channel, I'm really fascinated by how much time they take to take out the spent catridge just in case it flies around. Also as far as I know the Brits are planning to install a night scope (on a picatinny rail)? Since OA doesn't allow for NVGs to be used together with scoped weapons, will you consider releasing a night model as well?
By the way, the rifle's performance is really awesome. I can easily get a kill at ranges over 1500yds, although with ACE mod a spotter (with VON) is always desirable in case the wind changes.
