Michal Harangozó informed us the release date for the much anticpated DLC,
Arma 2: Private Military Company, has been pushed back.
This delay is due to the implemention of ARMEX, the Multi-Player Armory - a new unique feature, introduced last week in a developer's video update for Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead and Arma 2: British Armed Forces.
Previously the release was schedueled for November 24th, the new release date is Tuesday 30th November 2010.

Prague, Czech Republic 18th November - Bohemia Interactive, the award winning Czech independent development studio, announces a new release date for its addon,
Arma 2: Private Military Company - Tuesday 30th November 2010.
ARMEX, the Multi-Player Armory - a new, unique feature, introduced last week in a developer's video update - will be also available for Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead and Arma 2: British Armed Forces.
The original Armory mode - an interactive library featuring all in-game models - was first introduced in Arma 2. Building upon this unique game mode, the Multiplayer Armory enables players to try out all weapons and every single vehicle model from Arma 2 in dynamically generated missions with up to eight friends online or over LAN!
"The new Multi-Player Armory feature is so exciting and promising, that we decided to implement it to Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead and British Armed Forces as well" said Marek Spanel, Bohemia´s CEO. He continued: "unfortunately, implementation over two games - particularly where these are already released - is a difficult process, and requires extra care. The gameplay gets a new, fresh stimulation and we're sure it's worth it".

About Arma 2: Private Military Company:
One year after British and coalition armed forces successfully quelled the insurgent uprising in Takistan, the NATO Green Sea deployment is in the process of a strategic drawdown of its combat troops in the region. Private military contractors shoulder the burden of the increased workload, with competition rising between the multinational organisations for lucrative security contracts. Private Military Company, ION, Inc., successfully bid for a contract - codenamed Black Gauntlet - to provide security for a UN investigation team as they seek to piece together information regarding Takistan's abandoned nuclear weapons programme…
Key Features:
- New playable faction - Private Military Company
- Original singleplayer campaign with strong storyline unfolding across more than ten missions
- Fully implemented 2 player co-op mode
- New map featuring abandoned wasteland style military weapons test range environment, built upon brand new models and textures
- Unique new character models
- Exotic new weapons (AA-12, fully modelled XM8 variants)
- Detailed new vehicles (Ka-60 'Kasatka', Armed Helicopter UAV, Armoured SUV)
- Numerous new engine updgrades, including full Shotgun Ballistics Modelling and in-game Video Playback
Facility OKB-754 was the central hub of Takistan's nuclear weapons programme, which reached it's zennith in late 1999 with the detonation of a 5-10 kton device, before being forcibly abandoned due to sanctions from the international community. The test site was devastated by an underground detonation, which exceeded the expected yield and breached the surface of the ground, distributing a small quantity of radiation around the immediate area; forcing any local activity out of the region.
Operation Black Gauntlet follows a new recruit hired by ION, Inc., the PMC group tasked with providing security for a UN investigation team persuing information pertaining to Takistan's abandoned nuclear weapons programme, as he executes a conflicted contract - spanning the breadth of the volatile nation - from inception to termination.

Good. Then I will have time to collect my paycheck before it arrives
:(
Was coming out at a perfect time for me. Now...It's not... :( :(
Same here. It was coming out just before i had some days off. I was planning on making a mission...now I'll just have to wait
damn it!!!!!

Better late than never. If BIS is taking a little more time to work out some bugs, all the better (especially BIS)!
So, does this mean that the multiplayer armory is only going to be available if we buy the DLC? Even if they do that, I know very few people that say they are buying this DLC, especially after the lame BAF stuff that was released.
@Ironman
I guess this means that the MP Armory will be available in a patch for the other A2 titles that will probably come out together with the DLC, like in the case of BAF. Anyway if there are so few people you know that will buy this one, and seemingly you didn't like the last one and/or didn't buy it and/or probably won't buy this one yourself, then why is this bothering you?
30th Nov. will be good, I'll buy myself a nameday present then :)
Will wait for the patch with PMC LITE inside because I will not buy it. The DLC are so little changes in the game, to me it's totally useless !
A bigger addon like Arrowhead is just what I need, my $$$ are waitting
Who uses the Armory? I've never met anyone didn't fire it up once, say "That was cool" and never use it again.
What we should have instead is a Armory Module that allows you to equip yourself or the others in the squad. This would pause the mission at the start, and a menu would give access to every weapon and allow you to place a vehicle on the map.
@Ironman
Maybe there will be an official 1.56 patch for OA to support ARMEX
"Who uses the Armory?"
And thats why they make the Armory more interesting this time, and even give it to everyone. Having DLC or not. So really nothing to go nuts over. ;)
Well, I was hopping that the reason why BIS delayed this PMC DLC was because they decided to replace that "bullsh*t" XM8 with something more realistic and better looking. Unfortunally that's not the case...
Oh well....
first off all: totally buying it
all the nagging about a company that made a game that gave already so much! and keep giving and improving hes product in the years that passed and still will the years to come ..
sorry every time i see news out on DLC's i see
i reacted in the past on the former DLC that i mostlikely would not be able to buy it because it was online shopping and i was not for it but in the end if you come to think of it i really dont see a problem there.
@Ironman: for all the ones that are complaining not only you, your not supporting bis but they will keep you happy with a light version so don't nag about the fact the last DLC was nothing, they keep inporving the game and even improved the light version for the ones that could not buy or just did not wanted to buy it because the nature is nagging looks more cool then just be happy with what i get
@the ones that think they can do better on improving the game why dont apply for a job @bis to make the improvements happen?? they will welcome you with open arms
so far i saw not a lot of game developers that did this kind of work to there product!!! so if it means buying a DLC to give them more room to work i will and a lot of people will do the same, if your not one of them let it be, tell me one thing how hard do they going to burst in tears for a few non buyers and complainers?
the game has bugs and it will always have, no game out in the world is bug free, but bis keeps supporting hes product and that counts for something, and sure you can understand that the ones that working on this product don't work for free?!
regards ...
i think a few of you lot might want to check out the mp part afther installing the latest patch (1.55) armex is allready awailible ;)
(preordered pmc btw)
