Silent Justice - Stratis

Description:
It is a variant of the original Silent Justice mission on the Chernarus map in ArmA 2.

A NATO chopper that was transporting a high ranking NATO officer was shot down over the coast of Stratis.
The Iranians have captured both the pilot and the officer.
NATO has officially requested the help of your division and of course they has chosen your team to rescue them as you are the best elite Spec-Ops team there is!

We currently have intel on one possible location of where they might are being held hostage.
A base at the border of the town Agia Marina is under control of the Iranians and thats most likely the place of where they are keep ing the hostages.
Your team needs to head out there and assess the situation ASAP. Infiltrate the base and check the buildings for hostages.
Contact HQ when you have completed your objective.

Remember, your team is the best damn thing the army has to offer, we are counting on you!

  • Installation:
    Extract the .pbo file(s) to your Steam/SteamApps/common/ArmA 3/MPMissions folder for multiplayer/coop.
    Extract the .pbo file(s) to your Steam/SteamApps/common/ArmA 3/Missions folder for singleplayer.


    Tips:
    As there are no objective objects in the editor yet some the objectives are partially imaginary now. You will pick up notes on objective locations that are not physically there cos there are no objects for it yet. The notes are purely ment to let you progress through the mission and may at a later time (beta) be replaced with real notes that you have to pick up.

    If it happens that a hostage died then you will have to walk over the body to recieve the note and recieve a mission update.

    You will start without any first aid kits, however the first objective location contains vehicles filled with first aid kits.

    If you play it as a single player mission then I suggest saving regularly.

    I tried to not over do it with the amount of AI per location, as the AI in the alpha is fairly nasty so far a dozen AI units at an objective location can already be quite a challenge. So you all should get a good fps in this mission, I tried to keep it very low on resources (most of the .pbo Mb's are from the intro video).


    Notes:
    This mission is a sequel to the original Silent Justice mission from armA 2.
    As the Arma 3 alpha has very little content to work with I had to do a lot of compromises so I am just trying to make the best of the things we have now in the alpha.

    The ones that played the original version of this mission will for example notice that there is no GPS video anymore that will give you mission updates.
    And of course you wont be able to spawn a mash etc, despite that it still ha become a fun and challenging mission so far!

    The mission is still work in progress. I have already added a video intro, but will make a better one at a later time.
    Currently there is also no nice mission ending yet with a cool extraction, and I have added a 'mission complete' sound that is a temporary sound till I have a better one for it, I will definitely add more and improve existing stuff at a later update so stay tuned

  • I have re-done the video briefing intro from scratch. It is now a bit more slick and smooth and I have corrected all the grammar errors and made better structured sentences this time. (Note: loading screen stays to long visible in the alpha so you will miss a few seconds of the intro when you load it for the first time)
  • Added a medkit and chemlight to all playable units.
  • Added a chopper extraction.
  • Added auto-save after the video intro (so you can skip it next time)
  • Added more reinfocements, all objecitves will have them now.
  • Increased the chance of encountering opfor soldiers in the town.
  • Fixed grammar errors in the hint pop-ups and tasks.
  • Tweaked triggers, sounds and AI.
  • Added weapons/gear-respawn (Primary weapon or suppressor will not always respawn still, so you need to loot it back form your previous body. Everything should respawn properly.)
