=BTC= War Storm


War Storm is a dynamic mission for 50 players, its target being the capture of the whole Altis island.

  • Mission progress (conquered towns, vehicle status, players' position and equipment, FOB and build-ups) can be saved on a dedicated server. That can happen in two ways:
      - Saving data in a .ini file with the mod in iniDB by SicSemperTyrannis (modified @iniDB)
      - Saving data on the profile of the dedicated server (it doesn't work if server is shut down and rebooted).
    It's a BIS bug, you can vote at

  • Headless Client is support, you can activate it by param.

  • When returning to the game, you can move to your last saved position with your former gear.

  • The number of enemies is always proportioned to the number of players and random patrols are present (they can be activated/deactivated/modified in number from mission parameters panel)

  • At the present time the activation range of each town is about 800 meters; air units do not active enemies because of performance reasons.

  • The =BTC= Revive script is included and you can choose any option among Standard, Advanced or Lite.

  • Installation:
    Extract the .pbo file(s) to your Steam/SteamApps/common/ArmA 3/MPMissions folder.

    Logistics play a very important role in this mission.
    Thanks to =BTC= Logistic all boxes and strongpoints can be loaded on vehicles or lifted.
    A logistic point is available in base, marked by a cross. Here you can create vehicles, ammo boxes and strongpoints for loading in vehicles. Once on the ground, items can be moved with ingame controls which give refined movement on x,y or z axis and rotation. That allows you to create FOBs for forward respawn points (to move there, from the flag pole in main base select “respawn dialog” and then the FOB where you want to move to) You can find the object to create the FOB under "Support" -> "Land_Cargo20_military_green_F".
    The container can be loaded on a HEMTT or airlifted. Once in place, you can unload it and position as you like.
    Vehicles found in main base don't respawn, but they can be repaired when damaged or destroyed.
    To do so you can lift them with a Ghosthawk or have them towed by the CRV-6e Bobcat to the base at the marker with a blue wrench; the green one is for repairing and refuelling the UAVs.
    Any destroyed vehicle needs some time for repairs; once fully restored it will be available again at the original departure point.

    Every player can leave a sitrep which other players will be able to read later (scroll menu)
    The VAS by Tonic is available as a basic version; if some player should find trouble initializing the script, he can load his own pre-saved profiles without waiting for complete initialization using the light blue action instead of the red one.

    Conquering towns:
    Once conquered, towns will change their markers from red to green; they can be taken back by the enemy according to a percentage of the global progress in conquering the island. Once the take-back has started (pop-up alert in game), players will have X minutes before a town falls in enemy hands.

    Squad Leader:
    The Squad leader slot is very important for its many skills:
    - can deploy a rally point as a forward respawn point
    - can ask for side missions (hostage rescue, killing of an officer, destruction of radio tower etc)
    - can access the debugging console
    - can save the game session
