Arma 3 - Jurassic Arma


    McRuppert informed the community about his new project, Jurassic Arma

      I want to share some first impressions of my new project Jurassic Arma (dont know if i will keep this name)
      The aim was to great some sort of jurassic park mod for the "make arma not war contest" but i think it is to much to do so i just started with a single dinosaur the Trex.
      Its still WIP
      Walking animations are very well so far, Gesture animations (bite,roar...) still a bit buggy
      My Texture an Model are also buggy and will be polished. I tried to make him look like the Trex from the first Jurassic Park movie.
      If this will be released for the contest i will also make my own sounds.

      There will be also a Attacking system and lets see what can be done with the AI

    RichardsD showed some new wip images of the Mk. 23 which is now in-game (it still has many issues which he is working on.
    Also some screens of the Mk. 27 Cargo Variant.

    AngelWingGamingJacob posted a few new wips of the woodland and desert versions of the HAVOCs.

Arma 2 - SMD Sara A2 Full Sahrani Map Port


    CiforDayZServer posted a screen of the Arma 2 civilians which he enabled to use backpacks as well in addition to the already compatible units (see last weeks wip).
    Additionally a video showing the latest work M1lkm8n and Bad Benson applied to the animated building destruction for the SMD Sara A2 Full Sahrani Map Port.

    Slatts released a new video in which he shows a test of the M32 MGL ported from Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead.

Arma 3 - C-RAM


    Alexboy started working on bringing this C-RAM to Arma 3.

      Quote alexboy :
      My friend made this very High-poly, realistic looking C-RAM, and had it laying around...
      So he is letting me bring it into this game!!!
      I am not good at textures, so please dont criticize, if anyone wants to help put textures to make it look sexier, message away.

      This is a C-RAM, it will be firing 35mm AA rounds, it will shoot down any plane, boat, or tank in its path.
      Trying to figure out how to force it to fire at Motor/artillery/missiles, but havent figured this out yet, and will be coming!!
      Trying to use Mando_turret on this, works perfectly with minor flaws - having an error in being an "anti-missile", which might pop up in the pictures.

Arma 3 - Unmaned Sniper Arial Vehicle


    Alexboy is working on the Unmaned Sniper Arial Vehicle (U.S.A.V) and showed some first screens of his work.

      This is my first Addon that will be fully finished, and have more on the way.

      This is a U.A.V. with a 20mm machine gun and a 30mm sniper "weapon" on the base on this U.A.V., I have seen some games with U.A.V's with laser designators, then hellfire missiles, then laser guided bombs, and then one day saw something similar to a U.A.V with a machine gun turret.... so I thought why not have this in Arma 3? This is the future, so why not have Arial marksmen?

      This is still a W.I.P. but will be releasing soon, for some input from the community.... just looking for someone to make textures cause as you will see I clearly cannot make them myself...

Arma 2 - A-3B Skywarrior


    NightIntruder is working on the A-3B Skywarrior and released a couple of new screens and a video to show the progress he made.

      The upcoming A-3B Skywarrior has been the largest carrier-based strategic Navy bomber, the only one they had. He was nuclear capable until the Navy submarines had taken a nuclear offensive deterioration role. His weapon configurations include 12 x Mk82 / 8 x Mk83 / 4 x Mk84 bombs or freefall Nuke bomb. Crew of 3 - pilot, bombardier and navigator. Original model by Alphasim/Virtavia with permission for conversion granted.
      When I finish the addon I would like to share it with UNSUNG mod as it would fit best there. At this moment, the addon is compatible with JDog's Nimitz so arresting gear, CATs, refuelling/rearming and repairs in hangar bay work. The only major issue connected with Nimitz is the real one they had at those times - the size of the bomber which makes maneuvering the Whale around the carrier somehow difficult and usually needs an assistance from a deck crew. Beside this, Skywarrior needs better textures and working flight instruments among other minor things.
      Additionally, I struggle with the weapon system as it drops three Mk82 bombs every single fire. Also, I would like to find efficient way to make bombardier's sight and configure his bomb bay to carry heavier bombs including either Mk83s, Mk84s or one Nuke, all without making another MLODs. It inherits Mk82 weapon from Su34 which has turned to be not the best way as it does not work apparently I would appreciate any suggestions concerning weapon system and bombs' proxies.
