S.t.a.l.k.e.r. mod - QL Edit


Here is the first release of the S.t.a.l.k.e.r. mod - QL Edit, based on the S.t.a.l.k.e.r. mod by DAP, which in turn is based on the game from the GSC - S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl.

1. Random player spawn place.
2. Randomized loot.
3. Randomized traders' assortment.
4. Traders' supplies are not infinite now. For example, he can have only 4 Ak74 mags for sale. You would have to wait when his assortment refreshes(1.5 hours by default) or travel to another trader if you want buy more.
5. Vehicles. (civil cars only)
6. New damage system involving bleedout.
7. Slightly changed vehicle damage system. Anomaly damage depends on speed.
8. 3 new items: bandage, jerrycan, toolbox. Toolbox is for repairing vehicles.
9. More loot places, more stalker camps, more monster spawns.
10. Shitload of bugs.

STALKER MOD requires only ARMA2: CO. Beta patches can cause bugs and glitches, so I reccomend do not use any beta patches.

The archive includes three folders:
- STALKER-DB is the database. It's only for servers.
- @STALKER folder contains addon files.
- mission contains the mission file.

As we always recommend use modfolders to seperate the custom content from the official game content to prevent problems. For different ways to set up your modfolders and use them please visit our FAQ.

When you are using the Steam version you can find a Steam mod installation and activation FAQ here.

1. Install the latest S.t.a.l.k.e.r. mod.
2. Rewrite DAP's files with files you've downloaded from here.
3. Rewrite the mission.

Known issues:
When loading the mission your screen will turn black, if you don't see white "S.T.A.L.K.E.R" writing after 5 second of loading you have to alt-tab and re alt-tab the game. Seems like it's arma engine issue.

Some temporary measures: faction joining feature was turned off, all npc stalkers are immortal(too easy way to get supplies).

Few words about the future of this mod: I'm going to take a break for a couple of weeks but after that I'ill continue working on this mod. Here's the plan:
1. Adding hunger/thirst system. Integrating some mods like "Real Survival Kit".
2. Homebrew stat saving system.
3. Experiments - the most interesting part.

- Database now works with unique ids. That means this version is not compatible with the previous one. If you're a server you have to delete both .sdb files.
- Joining faction feature is back. Implemented skin change when joining a faction.
- NPC's are not immortal anymore.
