CSAT Expansion and Guerilla Mod


I am finally 99% finished with my CSAT mod. It is currently un-named. It started as just a mod to add regular Army units using AAF reskinned in CSAT hex camo and a new woodland hex camo. So I added woodland versions of CSAT skins. Then I got the idea of CSAT guerillas. In creating them, I had created other hex patterns, so I added more reskinned CSAT, etc.....

All I am doing now is creating groups and final touches.

Here's a basic idea of what is in the mod:
-Darker version of both current CSAT units (hex, urban)
-Semi-Arid (like heli pilot)
-All 5 hex patterns applied to all types of backpacks, AAF Helmets, boonies, mil caps, and new versions of vests/rigs.
-5 new balaclavas
-8-10 new shemags
-new bandana masks, beanies, caps, etc.
- new plain colored backpacks and vests

CSAT supplied guerillas
Independent guerillas
- All guerilla classes have 4 different models to choose from. For example, a "Rifleman" has a guerilla 1, 2, 3, and 6 model.
- Almost every guerilla has it's own uniform. Only a few have the same uniform.

I made many different skins for each uniform so that I can pick the best ones. I ended up liking too many of them, so I kept a lot of them. ***** And while I say I wanted to pick the best, the best looking units looked too good to be citizen guerillas. So I toned them all down so that they would better represent the citizens instead of soldiers.
I have saved a lot of the best for future addition to the mod. I plan on making the good looking guerillas an actual "behind enemy lines" CSAT military units, that would be like a spec ops group that would organize guerillas. The non hex, ones will be turned into a type of militia or a more organized guerilla.

The funny thing is that I started this mod for creating regular army units, they may not be included. yet.

Included is a mission that has every unit placed for you to see.

This mod includes:
Retextured CSAT
-Arid, original uniform made to blend in more and not as bright
-Urban, same as above with 2 different versions mixed together
-Woodland, with green vests
-Woodland, with tan vests
-Semi Arid, like the pilot camo with tan vests
-Semi Arid, green vests
There are Recon versions of those too.

I also created Special Forces. I see them as behind enemy lines units designed to raise guerilla forces and cause chaos. The uniforms are unconventional and not hi tech. Also the Semi Arid ones were hard to choose from so there are different version based on shirt color. It allows you to choose unts based on terrain i guess.

-Semi Arid
-Night Arid

*I have also created groups that have a few spec ops with a team of guerillas together.

Speaking of Guerillas
Again, too many to choose from.
Each type of unit will have 4 choices. So if you want to choose a squad leader, you have 4 options to choose from. Retextured FIA units.
CSAT supplied guerillas mostly have some type of equipment or clothing from CSAT
Ind guerillas are all generic.
There are some units that are almost identical. I wanted there to be confusion just like war.
Gue1 - rifleman model
Gue2 - autorifle/medic/engineer model
Gue3 - marksman model
Gue4 - Rifleman AT model

About 12 new shemags
2 beanies
2 caps
5 balaclavas
7 bandana masks
2 helmets
various vests and backpacks

To install the CSAT Expansion and Guerilla Mod you should use modfolders to keep it seperate from the official game content to prevent issues.
With Arma 3 you can use different ways to set up your modfolders to use custom content you have downloaded.

***Since this mod started as an Army mod, some things like the pbo will say CSATArmy instead of CSATWar
-Fix icons, I didn't make any icons. So the inventory items will have different bi icons, but the description and names are correct
-Complete textures, some units have my original test textures from when i was deciding.You probably won't notice the difference
-Change some equipment, since finishing almost everything, I added a couple new items. So i may change some.
-I will have European versions soon
- I will add a few specific units. I have civilian and military looking doctors, Mechanics, crew, etc.
-New camo on CSAT vehicles for terrain
-As soon as bi lets me texture the fia squad/team leaders i will add those.

-I'm sure somone will want to change the weapons, so if anyone wants to make an option for different weapons you can.
